new boots!!!
nine west outlet, love it
ive never owned boots like this and cant wait to wear them, especially with some wool skirts i have for work.
how do i wear them with jeans? or can i? all my jeans are flare-ish or boot leg style. my question is about tucking them in or just pull them over. they'll fit over the boot but i dont know if tucking them in will look weird??
i also have them in brown

I have those boots.. they're fabulous <3
I wear mine under boot cut jeans or with a pair of skinny jeans... I tried tucking my flares into them and it looked funny 10/8/2010 8:23:03 PM |

you can even get a pair of denim leggings...some look kinda cheap but some brands do have nice quality.....also forever21 skinny jeans are actually pretty nice. I've had mine for two years with no tear 10/9/2010 12:59:57 AM |

people who know stuff about fabrics/textiles: what can i use to dye/color tulle? i have a tutu that is light pink that i want to be hot pink but i know only certain kinds of dyes (or whatever, i'm using that term generally to include other things, like paint and stuff) can be used on that, because some kinds eat through it. so what should i use? what would work best? what would be easiest?
THANKS 10/10/2010 3:24:49 PM |

gosh i feel like modcloth is getting more expensive or something, but there are some tops i really want.
like this, with black jeans (or dark blue denim)
and this, though i dunno if i could pull this color off, but its only left in large anyway so it doesn't matter!
this is like $85 but oh my god do i want
this is pale, but i have dark hair and eyes so i can sometimes pull off light things w/o looking washed out even though i have pale skin:
this is left in size S (only 2 left) but i dunno if i'm a S or M. probably a S in dresses and tops. i think. i don't know...
and why does this dress with cats on it have to be sold out? lol. WANT
but REALLY i got a paycheck yesterday at work and i'm depositing tomorrow and treating myself to these boots i've been dying for. i've posted them before. what color should i get? i want all colors, but leaning toward brown or grey.
i also want a new pair of minnetonka mocs (these are by far my fav shoes of all time, super comfy)
maybe grey. i have brown and tan but my tan ones are kinda old so i could replace those too. hmmm. but if i get boots these will have to wait! 10/10/2010 4:24:33 PM |

Tulle can be made of different types of fibers.. polyester, nylon, silk...
I'm guessing that since it's a tutu, it's just polyester or a nylon. RIT dye is the easiest to obtain, and while it dyes cottons better, it can still dye your synthetic fibers.
Hell, it'll even dye silk, but where you run into problems is in the temperature of the dyeing... 10/10/2010 4:26:59 PM |

I am a fan of what you posted, kat. I own a pair of light brown/tan minnetonka moccasins with beads. My only regret that day is not purchasing a dark brown pair and a pink pair because I got mine for $2. They are about the most comfortable shoes I have (besides my grandma looking Doc Marten's).

I got my minnetonkas so cheap at Rugged Warehouse like 6 pr 7 years ago. I did not know they were so expensive (bc I don't know brand names at all) so that is another reason I will continue to mentally kick myself.
Oh, I HEART ANTHROPOLOGIE and I wish I could afford to just shop there. It is not in my budget and it makes me kind of sad. I have always wished I could make my own clothes and a lot of what I like about that store is the "homemade" look. 10/11/2010 7:55:29 PM |

macy's juniors section is having a huge clearance sale with 99cent shipping on clearance stuff (code: 99Cents) til tomorrow. i found some cute things, but i can never decide what size i wear in juniors
at target it varies depending on what it is. sometimes a small sometimes a medium. i'm only ordering dresses and tops so i guess i'm gonna go with S in the tops and M in the dresses and hope they work. i dunno. i'm nervous.
EDIT: the 99cents shipping applies to shipping on ALL clearance all over the site. so...hurry there are some good deals but it ends tomorrow

Christine, if you're staying in CO this winter you should see if the shop has a nice wool hat if a stetson isn't super warm. the good ones are surprisingly expensive, so a "free" one could be beneficial. you might have enough left over for some cool jewelry too 10/13/2010 11:48:17 AM |

I tried my spin pin yesterday. I think my hair may be too thin for it to work very well. I tucked my bun in pretty tight and then put it in at home, then shook my head a little and it halfway fell out. So I tried to get it even more secure. I decided to wear it to the gym because other people had said it held their hair really well, but 10 steps into my warmup jog it fell totally out. I will try it again, but I am disappointed 10/15/2010 9:43:35 AM |
