oblivion and enchanted arms are both fun rpg-wise. the former is much better however.

GRAW, GoW, and the call of duties are all fun shooters with a different flare for each.

Saints Row is good for the standard gangster fair.

Dead Rising is fun, but short.

really depends on your tastes. i like it and am 18hrs into it. says im only 60% of the way done so it has some playtime in it.

good:
i like the battle system and welcome the chance to use many different types of golems. for me it keeps the game interesting, even if the battles are similar. every area has its own type of enemies with different abilities. the story is alright, but normal for a japanese rpg. can save anywhere at any time which is GREAT. it is nice to have an rpg you can play for 30 minutes at a time if you want.

bad:
the battles, not surprisingly, can get repetitive at times. boss battles thus far are good, but a bit short (so they dont feel very EPIC). the path is very linear and cities feel kinda dead since only 1-2 ppl are worth talking to for storyline. there are a few times in the game that you have to do fetch quests and it really bogs down the gameplay at those spots. voice acting sux on most characters, but at least there is a lot of spoken dialog.

Do NOT get Enchanted Arms! I figured it would be OK and was ready for a traditional RPG to come out for Xbox. But EA was anything but good, the characters dialog is childish and annoying and the battle system got old really quick. I made a few posts a while back about it, its a much better rent than buy.

I have to agree Enchanted Arms is really gay. I like RPGs and will even tolerate turn based but it gets old real quick and this game's storyline is yag.

i used my botched eb gears of war preorder to reserve assassin's creed. it turns out it WASN'T FEDEX's FAULT, but eb powers that be shipped to the largest markets and took the rest of the day off without shipping the rest of the gears games. several c-level jobs were freed up and a total of 10 people were fired strictly because of the gow fiasco.

and lipka, fair enough. i switch mine around every few hours and try to keep it fresh. the dialog does get a bit bleh, but the battles seem to scale up nicely for me. i havent played a japanese rpg since i got lunar 2 for my ps2.

real time strategy. you build, collect resources, attack, etc in "real time." there isnt any pausing or turns.

my xbox is freezing now and then. no crazy red lights or anything. some ppl are saying to elevate the power brick to reduce heat, but it seemed relatively cool last time. should i try the nyko intercooler or is it on its way to destruction?

freezing seems relatively random. sometimes i can play for hours with no issues, sometimes it is every 10 minutes (though this only happened once or twice).
