they had the sound like turned down on OLN watching the rerun today, the sound coming off of the TV reflected almost NOTHING of the volume of sound in there for game 1. that place was on fire.. anyone going to game 2? i'll be there.

someone get the guiness book officials to the game during game 2 or game 5 we'd easily break the record, almost every goal beat the official record of 126dB as far as i could see.

(haha by the way was anyone talking about reading about brass bonanza on wikipedia in the parking lot, i was right behind someone that was talking about that for whatever reason, long shot chance that they are here, but what the hell anyway..)

I'll be honest, up until these playoffs, the name Rod Brind'Amour had always meant "third string winger on the Philadelphia Flyers" to me

I don't generally watch the Hurricanes during the regular season, because Trip Tracey makes me want to put my fist through the TV. The only Hurricanes games I do watch are Canes vs. Rangers.

staal disappears and does not lead, Brind"amour sets the example by working just as hard in his zone as the offensive zone, Staal has a great amount of growing to do. Not to take anything from Staal, he is a superstar. Rod works every shift and is getting the numbers now to prove it

There are TONS worse than Tripp. He's a dweeb, and he gets himself crossed up trying to think of something good to say from time to time and as a result says something complete obvious, but he's got a good eye for the game and provides some damn good analysis when he has time to prepare.

yean i know there are worse, i just liked the fact the guy stated he made him wanted to put his fist through the television. and my friends and i always just joke about tripp. and personally, im all for anyone and everyone in north carolina to jump on the bandwagon. the "real" fans know who we are, and personally being in charlotte and not still up in raleigh for the cup finals sucks. the news channels in charlotte are acting like we just got a hockey team?? wtf... so if we can strengthen our fan base im all for it.

Yea, you'd see cam come back in if gerbs got beat a few times early, but the way you phrased it sounded like you meant cam would start after a shutout from gerbs which would NEVER happen.

Every time I listen to him (when he's on TV) he just comes off as this massive Hurricanes homer and it just annoys me to no end. I've never been more tempted to turn off a hockey game due to commenting than when in like Game 2 of the Canadiens series, he kept talking about how they were getting all these touchy penalty calls against the Canes because of how historic their team was and how there was a clear bias.

At the same time, I've recently been listening to him in the mornings on 96.1, where he's far more subdued and insightful.
