UNC will lose at least 2 ACC games

And will make the Final 4 again, before being eliminated.

UNC is gonna be tough to beat this year.. too many offensive weapons. Deon Thompson might be one of the most underrated players in the country.

Which is crazy, as they have 3 1st rounders starting this year. UNC could play an A and B team and both would be in the top 25....

I watched them play some vs shaman-aid and ND. They looked good against ND, and ND looked terrible.

Maryland beatdown #6 Michigan State yesterday evening. They'll face #10 Gonzaga today. Should they win that game then they'll face the winner of Georgetown/Tennessee. It'd be nice if the ACC could win this again. Plus I hope that Gonzaga goes down. Fuck them.

I hate Gonzaga. They play in a shit conference and are able to usually just run right through it. They wouldn't do as well if they were in one of the Big 6 conferences (especially the Big East and ACC). Hell I don't even think they'd do as well in the A-10. I hope Connecticut takes them to the woodshed December 20th.

What's with the hatred?

Few runs a clean program in a small conference that consistently competes at a very high level. Yeah, they run through their conference slate easily, but you can't blame Gonzaga for that.

My problem with that is they often get seedings that are too high for them simply b/c they are Gonzaga. When an upstart Davidson runs through their conference undefeated and hangs with the big boys in their out-of-conference schedule they don't get nearly the praise and recognition and end up with a 10 seed if they are lucky. Is the West Coast Conference really any better than the Southern Conference, the Mountain West, or the A-10? Now this year Davidson might get a 7 seed if they are lucky.

People have been sucking Davidson's dick pretty well last year and this year. And Gonzaga might be slightly overrated, but they've done a decent job of taking care of business the past few years when they go up against the big boys (although they do choke it up in the tournament quite often).

The majority of the Davidson dick sucking didn't start until after they went on their run in the tournament. They were a 10 seed last year.

Yeah Gonzaga chokes it up pretty well. I still remember them being a #2 seed and losing to Nevada in the second round.

I also hate Gonzaga and cannot figure out why everyone loves them.

They had their great run in what 2002 and haven't gone far since with supposedly better teams.

The difference is OOC scheduling and wins.

Yeah, Davidson "hangs with" bigger teams, but until the tourney last year they didn't actually win any of those games. Gonzaga schedules a tough OOC slate and wins a good percentage of them. The weak conference schedule actually ends up hurting them, since they get softened up by March.

Gonzaga generally earns every bit of praise they get in Nov/Dec.

Maryland has a terrible inside game after losing Gist and Osby. The Maryland fans even admitted as much on their board. The one thing they have going for them is that they have one of the best backcourts in the ACC this year with Hayes and Vasquez.
