Is there a difference between black comedies and dark comedies? When I hear black comedy I think of soul plane, barbershop, pootie tang, undercover brother, shitty movies, etc.

Dark comedies are grim in nature. One dark British comedy I watched had a woman who killed people in awkward and bungled ways so as to hide the fact she had killed someone and buried them in her backyard.

I think they're pretty interchangable...but sometimes there are dark comedys...and when they're darker than that I'll call them black comedy.

I'll usually call Death to Smoochy a dark comedy...its meant to be funny, but not in a typical LoL or slapstick way.

I usually classify Fight Club or Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as a black comedy...something with grim subject matter that's not really meant to be funny...but still is.

ok I failed. I watched maybe 5 minutes and had to fast-forward through crap to see if it got better, I couldn't believe how awful it was, it just got worse and worse, the stipper started fake stabbing a guy, then one of the girls (the scene with a pregnant woman) completely missed a queue and floundered, and then this couple was having sex on the floor of the most ugly kitchen in the word on top of plastic and he was slapping her across the face and she strangled him... just a lot of wtfing going on in the whole "movie"

Yea I was watching Season 4 of Weeds when a coworker messaged me to ask if the site was down. I of course said fuck no, I am streaming now. But opening another tab revealed the truth. Crazy enough though I was able to continue that episode and another 2 using the More Episodes button. I got fux0red when I went Back to Browsing.

BTW, here is some shitty news for Instant Watchers like myself:

Basically they are saying that back seasons of shows currently airing on Showtime will no longer be streamed, because Showtime is running its own streaming website. But on the flipside, they will get some of the shows that are cancelled added. So goodbye streaming Californication and Dexter. These didn't matter too much to me as they were only like the first season, so who gives a fuck. As for Weeds it looks like Lionsgate does that one, so Showtime has no say over it being streamed through Netflix. w00t

We watched that Monsters movie the other day. The whole movie is nearly as slow as the first 15 minutes. It's good enough, but there's never really a point where there are a lot of monsters or a lot of action. It's more a character movie (about those two characters) than it is about Monsters. Just don't get your hopes up for something really exciting.

Considering how cheap the service is, when you look at it over 30 days/avg month that's basically an entire day of the streaming service getting refunded for a couple hours of downtime, at least that's all it seemed like it was down for us. I mean it sucks when you want to watch it and it is down (that was the only time it has happened to me since my wife and I have subscribed though) but it's an on-demand service so it's not like it caused you to miss anything and they paid you back for more time than they really needed to.
