A very questionable lane violation. Absurd to call it there. That's more egregious than anything that happened in the RM-Nova game.

UNBELIEVABLE CALL

Upon review, we discover there was in fact a teeny tiny lane violation.

The problem is the ref didn't manage to call it on the right player.

This is a shameful travesty.

come on Cal, I'm one of the few people who picked Cal to beat Louisville. Feels like that would be an upset even though Cal is an 8 seed and UL is a 9

and even though I picked Maryland to win, and they are representing the ACC, I cant help but find myself rooting for Houston

Games I'm looking forward to today and tomorrow (even though the odds are I won't get to see them due to house guests and stuff going on, maybe I should spring for the 10 bucks for the full iPhone app and start watching them while I'm out).

Kentucky / Wake Forest -can Wake actually step up after halting their end-of-season skid on Thursday, or will Kentucky wax the floor with them (which would be equally as entertaining)?

Michigan State / Maryland - despite my hatred of Maryland this game seems to have a lot of promise.

Tennessee / Ohio - Those Bobcats just look so plucky, plus I'll enjoy seeing them play a team who actually employs defense.

Pitt / Xavier - well this one's obvious, should be a good game.

ODU / Baylor - How good is ODU? They've got some big wins this season, but this will test them.

Now that I've said this I fully expect each of these games to be a blowout, because that's just how the NCAA tournament works. Still, these are what I'm looking forward to.

the more I think about it, the more I think Cal can beat Duke

Randle is going to give Smith and Scheyer fits.
Cal can go head-to-head with Duke if it turns into a 3 point shooting battle.
Cal usually doesn't have long scoring droughts.
While Duke is taller inside, they're not better. Boykin will do just fine against Zoubek and Thomas.
Cal can run like crazy. Fastest team east of the Mississippi

X-factor: Gutierrez. He is a pesky son of a bitch. His nickname is the "Mexican Mosquito" and for good reason. He'll be up in Scheyer's grill all night. Either the refs give him 3 fouls in the first 10 minutes, or Scheyer ends up punching him and gets ejected.

boykin left duke because he would've never got playing time. The plumlees are going to dominate cal. Dukes bigs will be fresh the whole game and cal will get absolutely DESTROYED on the glass. guitierrez will have to guard singler and can probably keep him under control. Smith and scheyer won't have anyone physical guarding them. Duke cuts off the three almost completely when they arne't facing an inside force. Cal will struggle to score 60 and if duke struggles shooting they will make up for it with 2nd chance points

Duke by 15+

I like Scotty Reynolds in a respect your rival type of way so I don't want to see Villanova lose... but I also like Saint Mary's since they were like three miles from where I lived for three years.

I guess I'll pull for Saint Mary's though.

Here is who I'm rooting for today: SMC, Butler, THE Ohio U, UNI, Washington, ODU, BYU and most important WAKE FOREST (anyone but slimeball)

^^ I don't think Duke will lose, but I don't think it'll be a blowout either. People forget that Cal was supposed to be a great team this year but played pretty much their entire VERY HARD OOC schedule shorthanded. I think it'll be about a 6-9 point game and close throughout.
