The deal with my parents was that they would pay for my phone until May, when I graduate. Two months ago they said (for the first time in 6 years) "hey, you owe us money for your phone bill." I say, "Did I go over?" they say, "no, we're not paying for it anymore." I say, "great, cut it off. I am ready to get on a plan that isn't controlled by you anyways." They say, "no, we're not cutting it off. you're going to stay on our plan and pay for it." I say, "no. if I'm paying for a plan it's gonna be my own plan with my choices and within my limits." They say, "no." I say, "fuck you, I'm not paying for the god damn phone."

My brother, an 18 year old high school drop out however, gets a new droid today. Also, he has a 150$+ phone bill every month and they pay it.
