What a scumbag Burrows is. Bruins didn't come out tough enough at the end of the game. They should have been far more pissed, especially since that dude was pretty much taunting them for getting screwed by the league. 6/4/2011 11:01:24 PM |

I couldn't care less who wins this series. I just think it's crap that someone who clearly bit a player and clearly should have been suspended ended up impacting the game so much.
That still doesn't excuse Thomas for being overly aggressive and Chara for blowing it. 6/4/2011 11:10:36 PM |

Not until it looks like vancouver will take game three. They'll go out there, play their game, and take it from there. If they win, move on. If it looks like the game is unsalvagable... I'd expect guys like lucic to send a message or two. 6/5/2011 12:56:10 AM |

BTW, can we talk about how lol-worthy it is that MIKE MILBURY is calling Burrows a punk?

Don't forget the great Euro-Trash comment at the Olympics he made about the Russians. I hate Milbury. I love the fact that he called out Don Waddell on the Kovalchuk trade when he is the guy that trade Jason Spezza and Chara for Yashin, traded Luongo, JP Dumont, Olli Jokinen and others for nothing. The man is such an idiot. He made maybe one good trade during his tenure as GM which was the one that Ottawa had to do with Redden and trash for Berard, Straka and some other trash. Before the 'Canes were in NC, I was an Islanders fan as a kid (parents grew up on Long Island) and he just made me smack my head so many times, even as a kid..

I like TT a lot, but I'm 100% for Vancouver now because I'm tired of people shitting on Luongo when he doesn't deserve it. Top 5 goalie in the league since 02-03.6/6/2011 11:46:51 AM |

No no no no no. Nathan Horton was admiring his pass and Rome just stepped into him. Was it slightly lateral? Perhaps but it was more diagonal. Horton should have had his head up. Rome had solid gap control. Open ice hit. Sadly, the NHL will likely knee jerk over react. 6/6/2011 8:59:44 PM |

When is Boston going to throw down the gloves? Why are Lucic and Chara just refusing to fight? If they fail to score on any more powerplays, their backs are going to be up against the wall just about as much as they're going to get in the series. 6/6/2011 9:07:41 PM |

^^^^ it was wayyy to late, he jumped, and he went for his head - you may have an argument as to the blind side, but that's irrelevant in light of the aforementioned flaws...

Lateral hits are illegal, yes, but stepping into someone in open ice is completely legal. His feet came off the ice because of the follow through from the hit and Horton not seeing it. Just because homeboy wasn't looking at it doesn't make it blindside. Complete over reaction. 6/6/2011 9:12:38 PM |

Was a hockey hit. Three or four years ago before the major penalty for interference.
I will say he did not leave his feet to hit, that it was a result of the hit.

^^^You admit it was interference, but it cause a head injury. That's going to carry a major... just like boarding or charging. There's garden variety, then theres the guy went off on the stretcher

Perhaps he stepped into him because he saw Horton admiring his pass which makes it look late. I don't like malicious hits any more than anyone else, but #1 rule in hockey is keep your head up especially in the Stanley Cup Finals. Is losing Rome going to be detrimental? Probably not, so if there is more than just the game misconduct it will be a big facepalm for the league. 6/6/2011 9:18:27 PM |
