^^I don’t see what connection you’re trying to draw there, not sure how that’s justifying violence.

Historically if the justice system fails to hold trump accountable for Jan 6 then violence would be justified and credible, but that process hasn’t run its course yet. This is the sad reality of being in the middle of a constitutional crisis. When congress failed to do their job on charging trump from his impeachment, the whole system is knocked off kilter to where we’re now expecting the regular justice system to use a loophole to hold trump accountable.

We’re seeing now the result of that crisis, and we’ll continue to see weird stuff happening until that crisis is resolved somehow.

As much as I would like to go with the registered Republican narrative, the PA voter registration website doesn't display registration changes, only current registration, so there are a lot of possibilities including changing affiliation to vote for Haley to try to stop Trump.

Yeah, it would be somewhat rare for a person so young to be giving financially to political causes, particularly before being of legal voting age, if that is even possible (just checked -- you must be 18 to make a contribution to a politician or PAC).

I think the heat on Biden stepping down is off (even though he probably still should do so). The topic of conversation has shifted. What they need now is for Biden to appear Presidential and to be a voice of reason and calm. The RNC will almost certainly be a shitshow of extreme rhetoric. I mean, it would have been before, but it will be especially so now. If Trump says a few more crazy things about his enemies and vilifies certain groups, it could backfire.

But he'll have the momentum from the "they tried to kill our guy" crowd.

Yeah, it's a shame. But, the appearance of being a uniter and a steady and experienced hand through turbulent times could be arguably more effective. If people haven't already formed strong opinions about Trump by now, they're not paying any attention, and a political talking point by his rival seems unlikely to be the tipping point. Save it for closer to the election. Trump will likely add a lot more insane shit before then.
