since im co-oping i just emailed the forms to my advisor, and didn't hear back for over a day, so i checked "PIN lookup" on mypackportal and my pin for spring 08 was there.

I keep checking. I don't think we have many advisers, if any, who will do that except in situations like yours.

I emailed Susan Matney and my departmental advisor to say that I needed my PIN to register and both got my pin back same day .

^^^^I need to see which chemistry elective my advisor would recommend for a CHE-nano, and also which MSE course I should take to see if I'm interested in getting a MSE minor...probably sign up for CH 315 (apparently cake) and MSE 210 for now. The MSE 210L is MSE/MTE majors only though.

grrr, CH 315 is only offered during one of my CHE courses, and CH 331 is during my Time Travel class

I do everything myself. I've always found advising a waste of time:

"hey. you got classes picked out?"

^^yea, I checked that. interesting how the required course MSE 330 needs MSE 301, but 301 isn't listed as a required course for the minor

Sucks that the two chemistry classes are in conflict, maybe I could take ENG 331 and have a relatively easy semester, with a horrible one in the fall?

Well I did, but they all graduated last year. I don't know who all these kids running around are. Maybe Dr. Velev would know, he's into nano stuffs.

Well Polymer Chem is good, if nothing else: I think it's PCC 466 or something

I don't know if you guys have that option or not: you may have to suck it up and go with P. Chem

it's not officially listed on the degree audits and such, so you'll have to check that booklet Bullard likes giving out with all the courses listed, etc

FYI: PCC 466 is being taught by hudson this spring, and he's fucking awesome.

I taped a grad level course on polymer manufacturing and extrusion and there were some engineering-sounding fluids topics involved, and it was actually fairly intriguing even though that field is most definitely not my cup of tea
