MEEEE TOOO I wasted a good 2 hours browsing the site
punchmonk I got that vibe too, especially with this one:
http://clockworkcouture.com/?q=Stepintimesteampunkdress (more pics of it) The prices aren't TOO bad for what they are, but much of it is out of my price range and will have to stay on a wish list
I don't know where I'd wear it either, but fuck it, if I had it I'd wear it!
^^ I like those clothes! Especially those boots (they actually look FUNCTIONAL. . /petpeeve) I can't wait to bust out with all my gloves, hats, and jackets

1. i got new makeup (well just the tinted moisturizer) at target the other day. it is the set brand. it is one of their "classy" brands that they carry so the tinted moisturizer was $28 :/
but it is so crazy how you can tell the difference between that and like an almay or neutrogena. this stuff is just so amazing. i want to get their concealer too but that was like $25 so i gotta wait a little while.
2. i have redness in my cheeks. i'd like to not have to use ANY type of base makeup but i get redness in my cheeks that is kinda blotchy. it just started recently. i don't know if it is my face wash or what...??? ideas for evening out skin tone?
3. can we talk about these shoes that will be on hautelook tomorrow that i totally can't afford? dolce vita. WANT http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/album.php?aid=233286&id=33214638518

I don't know if anyone has tried the Garnier 7 day at home anti-frizz treatment but I'm doing it now. It seems pretty simple. It was $12 at Harris teeter and I didn't use the whole bottle so I can definitely get another round on the product. It smells horrible but hopefully it works. I will be reporting back in about 30 minutes.

I have a question about hair loss. I've always had dense hair, when I got it colored once the stylist had to mix up extra color because she ran out. It doesn't appear to be any thinner, but I'm worried that I'm loosing a lot of loose hair. For example, in the morning just putting my hair in a ponytail leaves about 10-15 hairs in my hand. Same with shampooing in the shower, I end up with a lot of hair.
I discussed this with Christine a couple months ago and I don't think my hair looks thinner since then so maybe it's OK??? Maybe I naturally shed a lot? Also my hair has been short for YEARS so maybe now that it's longer I'm noticing the loss more? what's a natural amount of hair loss?
I only brush once a day or less, and shampoo twice a week. 11/1/2010 8:59:33 PM |

^ THANK YOU!!!! that is great advice thanks thanks thanks.
^^ i don't know, but have you been to the doctor recently? i mean it could just be just shedding a lot since your hair isn't over all thinner, but hair loss like that can sometimes mean hormone imbalance and i think thyroid issues. i dunno, could be worth checking out. 11/1/2010 9:07:51 PM |

You lose a lot of hair and I'd say you're noticing it because it's longer, so therefore looks like more.
When I shower I lose a ton. Like I gently squeeze my hair to get all the loose hair out and I've not decreased in hair thickness. I think it's natural until you can pull chunks out and have bald spots, then I'd worry. 11/1/2010 10:22:52 PM |

Yeah you're noticing it cause it's longer. I lose so much hair, especially now that I only wash it twice a week, I notice it even more, but my hair thickness doesn't change. Look around your scalp for any bald patches, if you don't notice any or no thinness then I think you're just fine.
I used to think my old roommate was going bald cause of all the hair she's leave in the shower but I kept an eye on her hair for a couple of months and never noticed any thinning, I just think she was gross for never cleaning it out.... (you know who you are... ) 11/1/2010 10:53:40 PM |

You can lose up to 120 hairs on your head a day and that would still be normal. Each hair has a life cycle (3 phases) and after the last phase the hair is shed and/or a new one pushes the old one out. Don't stress. Like others have said thus far, unless it's coming out in chunks you have nothing to worry about. 11/1/2010 11:35:26 PM |

OK, thanks for the reassurance guys!!
Also I have one more hair question. for the military, you have to put your hair up or it has to be cut shorter than your collar. I usually do the "sock bun" because it's so easy & quick. Is it bad for your hair to be in a bun all day? I try to make it loose but still. Any recommendations for another method would be nice too! french braid would be great but I've never had success with that
the only real regulation is that it has to look "professional." ponytail is a big NO ] 11/2/2010 8:34:59 AM |

^^ A sock bun isn't terrible for your hair since you're not using a tight elastic. Given the options, a sock bun or a french braid are your best bets. Perhaps you could have someone else french braid your hair for you? Annoying, sure, but it is the best option for your hair. As a general rule, it's better not to damage hair in the middle of the hair shaft, as you can easily trim the ends and restore your hair's health. 11/3/2010 12:15:36 PM |

Kadwackle the reddness is from the dryer weather and using the scrub. only use the scrub once to twice a week. You need to find something that will not irriatate your skin as much. 11/3/2010 2:02:00 PM |

what do you guys think of this dress for a baptism? (meaning if you're the one getting baptized)

Seems kind of weird to wear red to a baptism. Don't people traditionally wear white when baptized? I've never been to a baptism so I most likely have zero clue what I'm talking about

^ I also thought white was typically worn. Both me and a good friend of mine wore simple white dresses when we were baptized, with pink (for me) and yellow (for her) cardigans.
That being said, I think that dress is adorable

Are you getting water dumped on you or immersed? If you are wanting to wear that to the church and then get baptized in shorts and tshirt (what I did, when I got baptized)...white or light colors are see through. 11/4/2010 5:38:43 PM |
