Welp both Borders and Barnes & Noble don't have Bill Chen's book, guess i'm going to get it on Amazon.
On a side note, I drank last night and decided to play 2/4. Was up about 600, then blew my wad. Ended up even. 7/27/2007 10:31:28 AM |

I don't care if you are 10X avg stack, I still don't see why you would ever not addon unless you were down to like 1 big blind and were about to go out. 7/29/2007 7:30:07 PM |

if that was the case you should have pushed and rebought, then added on during one of the last hands.
you know
unless you were just going to throw away the extra ev gained by not having to pay house rake on your rebuys.

is it considered bad etiquette to show a bluff?
There was a small discussion about how tight our table was, and no one was bluffing. so a few hands later i showed a bluff (only for like a 30 dollar pot) and this duder jumped down my throat about it. 7/29/2007 9:06:30 PM |
pilgrimshoes Suspended 63151 Posts user info edit post |
then you got what you wanted
showing a bluff induces disruption in a tight nitty boring table
ill usually show either some asanine bluff (i really have a habit of bluffing with the nut low, and showing it.. tabling "NUT LOW, THAT GOOD?") or a big draw to show i'm gambling if the table is tight 7/29/2007 9:07:57 PM |

^^^ I think it was about outrageous bets poker players have made in the past or something along those lines.
^^I don't think it is. If you really want to piss them off, slow roll a hand next time.

showing bluffs is just mental part of the game. i don't like people who talk a lot at the tables, but i won't deny that it irritates players and makes them change their approaches. same with this 7/29/2007 10:50:24 PM |

I like MTTs because they are so lucrative, but I usually play STTs since they are less time consuming. I hate ring gamesa, but there is less variance so they have their place. 7/31/2007 10:04:16 AM |

Why not?
Ozzy 87 started with freerolls.
reminds me of one of the hottest things that has ever happened to me gambling...
millionaire online casino, i had done a L750 + L750 bonus there, and they dissallowed bj for wr...
the lowest denomination SL JoB was a L0.5 coinage, for a L2.5 MP.
long story short, i ended up cashing out net -L5 after dropping L750 going through the WR on a shitty run of JoB.
cashed out, ladada
few months later they put L5 in the account for my birthday
i put 1 pull on a FP L1 JoB SL, 4oak on the single pull, woot, up to like L400 in a single pull..
the wr on the gift was wicked high, but on a sweet swing, playing up to L5 fp, somehow ran it to L2500, then cashed out.
it was flippin' hot
