-the spurs play dirty basketball -none of the spurs players are likeable -the spurs are not entertaining at all to watch -the average age for the Spurs is 30.37 years old, the highest in the league

The Spurs are the Patriots of the NBA
-Asshole coach with bad skin
-3 Championships in recent years
-Franchise player who is much more successful but far less marketable than his rival (Brady and Manning, Duncan and KG)
-Elite defensive prick who gets suspended at least once a year (Bowen, Harrison)
-Diehard devotion by home fans but general sense of dislike from the rest of the league 6/6/2007 11:47:22 AM |

That is a great TV...I have a 42" Philips and it is fantastic, but here is a quick fix for all of you that love watching the sports in HD
You can request an amplifier to boost the signal from the cable box in your neighborhood to your house. Time warner should be able to bring it to you and install it. I can tell a difference between HD and a amplified HD signal to my box. GO CAVS 6/7/2007 1:12:20 PM |

what a terrible voice for a public address announcer

He didn't jump. LeBron might want to change his name to Le "I'll mow you ass down"...probably out of frusteration at not making a field goal all 1st quarter.
He got called on a foul because he lowered his shoulder.

^the only "success" Mike Brown has is when LeBron has a great game. Hopefully Danny Ferry will see the light after this year.
No game plan whatsoever. 6/8/2007 7:32:47 AM |

I think this game was about as bad as the cavs couldve possibly played. They looked like they had a weak gameplan, Lebron couldnt make a shot, the entire team's shot selection was terrible, Gibson didnt get enough playing time.
I know some of that can be chalked up to the Spurs defense, but the Cavs missed way too many open looks
On the other hand, the Spurs were shooting lights out. I still some hope for the Cavs in this series if they can play their game 6/8/2007 8:46:46 AM |

I always thought Cleveland didn't give Paul Silas enough chance....
Silas is a good coach and is underrated I think.

rallydurham Suspended 11317 Posts user info edit post |
^^ ugh, Silas is just such an awful coach though i got really nervous when it was speculated the bobcats might be interested in him...
The thing about "players coaches" like Silas. His teams will fare pretty well durign the regular season because guys respect him and they will give consistent effort night in and night out...
but when it comes to the playoffs and they actually have to face good strategic coaches like phil jackson, greg poppovich, etc they are SO overmatched that their teams usually get shredded as they fail to make the proper adjustments.
Its obvious even to casual fans that Mike Brown sucks as an offensive coach but that franchise's every move is with the idea of retaining the services of Lebron James. If LBJ likes Mike Brown then they'd be absolutely nuts to fire him.
At the same time I will defend Mike Brown to the point that he is coaching a poorly constructed team. They don't have a legitimate point guard, athletic post players (sans Varejao), or good jump shooters. It's not Ferry's fault that guys like Donyell and Damon Jones forgot how to shoot the minute they signed with Cleveland, but it is his fault they signed guys like Larry Hughes who don't fit their needs....
Again in Ferry's defense he was making desperation signings because they were scared Lebron would flee Cleveland if they didnt become instantly competitive. 6/8/2007 10:08:29 PM |
