Why not? You don't get the 2pt conversion you're down by a score. You get it you are tied. You go for the 1pt and you are still down by a score.

PAT = failed 2 pt conversion (down by a score)
2 pt conversion = tied.

Agreed. It went from a bleak outlook from the 1st half to a positive outlook in the 2nd - even if we do end up losing.
