whats sad is that 2nd and 3rd with no outs and Uggla, Heyward and Gonzalez up LAST year, thats an easy two runs. This year however, we get three groundouts. Pathetic how much those guys suck this year compared to last year. Atleast Uggla hits the occasional homerun

Why would the Braves even question whether they can win this year?

Beltran isn't hitting LHP and the Mets are going to ask a fortune for him by eating his contract.

Two months of Beltran in left field isn't worth Minor or Teheran, especially if Chipper comes back. Braves need a fourth outfielder that hits lefties, not a third that can't. Getting a beast like Pence would trump all of this, of course.

Id rather have quality depth in the bullpen than a bat. We have enough players that should hit to go deep in the playoffs. Besides. We won't play the phillies in the first round. So we can always hope someone knocks them out or their pitchers arms fall off prior to the playoffs. We've started what, 11 games so far with our opening day fielders?

They act like this is an episode of something on ESPN Classic. Same thing for MNF or college basketball games or whatever. Just talk about the game on the field, maybe about the happenings in the league. I don't give a fuck about Vitale's thoughts on the WAC during an ACC game or Rob Stone eating the best hot dog in town. Dan Shulman has talked non-stop during this inning and hasn't mentioned the name of a single player who has played during this decade, much less this game.
