The more I watch Russel play, the more I believe it has to do with coaching... Dude is an OK QB, but man, that's some awesome play calling.

Will TOB be invited to the Hesiman Ceremony? lol

Poor TOB, his legacy is going to be running off RW to the badgers and they maybe winning it all and he wins the hesiman.....DY should fire TOB right after the season ends.

RW throwing into triple coverage I remember those days, when it went well we were happy....well, it was double coverage this time. I am guessing he will get drafted mid rounds and get a shot somewhere, where if he was here he wouldnt be drafted at all. Maybe the Saints will draft him although he is a midget compared to Brees.

Come on now. He made ONE questionable decision the entire half and it's to a stud WR who goes up and makes those plays all the time.

It was as pretty close to a flawless first half as a QB can play given the level of defense.

^I think the point he was trying to make is that we fans see the result and then post-rationalize the decision based on how the play worked, rather than the decision itself.

People were livid about that pass to ECU last year. I love Wilson, but I think he sometimes has a bit more confidence in his arm than he should. He's still having about as good a half as you could ask of him, though.

Its gonna be an interesting dynamic on here when Wilson gets his shit pushed in by Alabama/LSU in the national championship game. I'll be pulling for him but I know many won't.

wisconsin has a better chance of running the table than alabama does because that game with lsu is close to 50/50. Wisconsin losing a game would surprising.

It's the better decision at the time if you are an idiot loser like TOB. It's the wrong decision if you actually want to win, which is why Wisconsin welcomed Wilson, "baggage" and all. The locker room fell apart after TOB kicked Wilson off the team. The team was perfectly willing to let Wilson pursue both sports. TOB was the loser who had a problem with it.

We don't need to rehash this. The people who were fine with kicking wilson off the team and not accommodating him are some of the dumbest posters on TWW like aaronburro or packboozie.

People like me who have been right about TOB all along know what real leadership is and know what good decision-making looks like.

That's right. We should let the players run the team. Amato tried that. It was great.

how do you figure? in january, Wilson says "i dunno if I'm comin back." In january, the Rockies are saying "he aint comin back until the season is over, and that might be September." In January, glennon is saying he will transfer if RW pulls this shit again. so, in January, when the decision was actually made, you still go with RW, not knowing if he will even be here in September, risking that you will be stuck with Brosius? That's the kind of genius decision you would make?

of course fucking not.

and "accommodating"? what the fuck is there to accommodate? "show up to fucking practice". That's how it works. If he's playing for NCSU baseball in the spring, then, yeah, you accommodate. Otherwise, you don't. You can't make an accommodation for "well, I might not be available until September." How in the fuck do you "accommodate" that? That's like asking your boss for half the year off with pay so you can go work for another company. You don't accommodate that.

And "real leadership"? By letting the players run the team? Are you REALLY that fucking stupid? I'm afraid you are

point is, Wisconsin made it work under worse conditions (Wilson having NEVER been around the team) than State. It looks bad, and should.

Losers always have a ton of excuses for why something won't work. Winners find a way to make it work.

That's the difference between NC State and Wisconsin.

These are important life lessons, folks.

they didn't have "worse conditions." They had a kid that came in and started practicing the moment he signed. They had a kid they knew was going to be there. They had literally zero risk, apart from Wilson possibly being a bust. TOB had ALL the risk with an uncertain amount of reward. Not fucking comparable. Wilson came in to Wisconsin with his dick practically being sucked by the entire team.

^ you should go write motivational posters with that kind of trite bullshit nonsense

^^ exactly

^ "oh, wilson is playing baseball, wont be around the team during practice".... sure didnt seem to matter with Wisconsin, who he had NEVER been around. Just admit it. you are bitter because Wilson is having success somewhere else

i dont think anyone actually felt he needed the practice, it was a coach's authority thing trying to be fair and appear to be fair to the rest of the team so it wouldn't look like he was favoring one player over the rest
