So about next year...... Sept 1st 2012....NC State v Tennessee in ATL.
When do tickets go on sale? Sign me up.
How long have people been talking about this game? Since 2009?
This is another year where we have to get seven wins to go bowling, and we go to Miami. 12/29/2011 11:02:20 AM |

Actually South Alabama, who is on the schedule again, will be in their first year as D-IA, and will count toward bowl eligibility. We will only need 6 wins to go to a bowl next year. Here's to having way more than 6 wins next year though.12/29/2011 11:44:32 AM |

^ beat me to it.
While we're looking at the schedule, how did we draw Ga Tech for only 2 years? We played them in 2010 and 2011 only. I thought the ACC rotated teams for 3 years?

where is the 2012 game list?
and why in the hell do we keep scheduling these crap teams? I realized Tennessee fucked this year, but sheesh, there has been plenty of time to get another school. I'm sure there are enough D1 cupcakes that are willing to pay to play us; why bother with lesser divisions? 12/29/2011 11:49:22 AM |

I predict 9 regular season wins next year.
I kind of wish the Belk Bowl people did a season kick-off game similar to the Chick-fil-a Bowl. They don't have to limit it to a Big East/ACC showdown either. The Chick-fil-a people had Boise State play UGA this season. Imagine NC State taking on a Big 12 or B1G team in Charlotte that would otherwise be reluctant to have a home-and-home series with us.

Everyone schedules a 1-AA game, why shouldn't we?
UT at a neutral site and (a sort of weak) UConn on the road isn't so bad.

You realize he was in beast mode then because he was actually playing then right? dude missed most of the first half of the season to injury. he was beast mode his first game back.12/29/2011 12:49:07 PM |

how many easy layups have been missed because the guys are trying to finesse the ball in the goal? just lay it up off the backboard and be done with it.12/29/2011 1:25:14 PM |

Watching the replay on ESPN3 right now. I've gotta say it's like a tale of two teams. We were on fire the second and most of the third quarters. The first and fourth, though, either Louisville had our number, or we just stopped playing (except Amerson).
It seemed to me the change occurred right when the Cardinals got tagged for that lousy PF Late Hit penalty. It was CLEARLY a move to not let MG face plant, and everyone knows it.
Knowing the score and outcome, I started to root for Bridgewater. As a true freshman, he's someone I'm going to keep watching. He's a good QB now. I wish him all success. We kept hitting him and hitting him and he kept making good plays.
I'm a little afraid of our special teams next year. We won't have TJ (but I could see Amerson filling in that role), and Baumann looked really nervous during the game.
Overall, I'm excited about next season. MG will be even more poised and will now start with confidence. As long as our receivers work on catching the ball, I think we are in good shape.

It didn't feel like the game would've been close at all if Wentz hadn't gotten hurt. As soon as he went out our OL wanted to false start every other play. 12/30/2011 7:00:19 PM |

I'm happy Fordham got some PT... seemed to do a pretty good job.
@ the UVA game (had tix 5 rows up directly behind the ncsu bench) Got a few good chuckles seeing him pace along the sidelines (fordham that is) 12/30/2011 11:05:37 PM |

watched that play a couple of times just a minute ago. from my seats in 508 and on the replay at the stadium it looked a lot worse than it was. watching it again, yes, it's very clear that he was trying to keep glennon from going down, but that was after trying to throw him when glen non had already stepped out of bounds (defensive player was well on his way out too). i think the refs looked at it as an endangerment, akin to "roughing" vs "running into" a kicker. the guy was just trying to make a play, but he was too late doing so, and he also realized it too late to make it look much better.

Saw the same thing. The guy had an opportunity to disengage once Glennon was out of bounds and before he started swinging him. I almost think he swung Glennon to stop himself from falling down.1/1/2012 9:36:12 AM |
