Just shut up mofo, a black man opening doors for women at a poll is not a crime, no matter how much his big black face scares you.

Are you in the least bit educated in what the NBPP stands for?

No but I'd respect his right to do so, and not confuse me disliking him with voter intimidation.

And in either case: I think all Republicans are racist, violent, stupid shitheads, but them existing at a polling place does not constitute voter intimidation.

https://www.google.com/search?q=New+Black+Panther+Party+uniform

By "uniform" did you mean "logo"

How many times does the word "uniform" appear in the Wikipedia article?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Black_Panther_Party

oh right, once. In the mention of the very event you're talking about. Look, you don't get to rewrite history to fit your narrative. The KKK uniform is a well recognized symbol. The New Black Panther uniform seems to be something that Fox News just made up.

No, they can't wear their logo at the polling place. There are very specific laws that violates. But that's not what you argued, because you were too damned eager to erode your own credibility.

its semantics. The NBPP "outfit" is very recognizable.

Are you saying if you see a black guy on street in all black, a black beret, and black boots you wouldnt automatically think he is a BP? Has nothing to do with being racist. Just like if you see a tatted up white guy with a leather vest that says Hells Angels on you would think he is in a biker gang.

My whole point was not to argue over outfits. Its that MR was criticized for not speaking out, but its ok for BO not to.

MR: About what his surrogates are saying.
BO: About what a group entirely unrelated to him is doing.

Dude, a person being scary to you because of the clothes they're wearing does not make them guilty of voter intimidation. I'm freaked out by Jehovah's Witnesses with their white shirt/black tie drones, but I don't call up the DoJ when I see one at the polls.

In other news, Tea Party Voter Fraud Protection group...commits fraud themselves

http://www.plunderbund.com/2012/11/05/true-the-vote-forged-signatures-to-get-observers-at-ohio-polls/

Basically they wanted to install themselves as poll monitors at largely-black precincts, and tried to forge signatures in order to do so. Aaahahaha

Are you fucking kidding me? I hope this was sarcastic.

A black guy dressed in all black is nothing more than that. He could be wearing sweatpants and identify himself as the NBP and it would be the same situation we're talking about.

while i'm on the fence about this, passionate people with readily available weapons sometimes leads to impulsive reactions that could be deadly. and some people are REALLY passionate about politics.

exceptions make bad laws.

Either you're willing to accept the consequences of concealed carry or you're not, which itself steams from a larger question of if you're willing to accept the consequences of gun ownership.

I don't know how that happened, and why the black panthers thought it a good idea to associate themselves with the election.

Many people are saying that it would be the same as the KKK showing up and handing water to people.

At least people like me can express their own opinions instead of regurgitating party propaganda

1. The mural's there because it's a school, it's been there for a long time because the goddamn liberals in congress haven't legislated against students admiring or respecting the president

2. The NBPP is trolling. The guy from 2008 is an official election observer now. It's a rather elaborate troll that (successfully) aims to send the GOP into crypto-racist convulsions.

They aren't exactly all raving Obama fans, some of them have basically called him a house n***er in so many words...

Also, see Westboro Baptist Church. Fringe groups will take any attention they can get, when you're a small group it's better to become well-known more than it is to be well-liked. After you're well known, you can attract more radicals. They're in it for the publicity, not to actually affect the vote, and the GOP is giving them exactly what they want.

So. I've got on MSNBC for the first time in a long time (I watch Maddow occasionally through their iPad app) and I can't help but think, "They fired Cenk Unger to keep these guys on the air?"

Seriously, why do people complain about Maddow or Schultz being liberals when Martin Bashir has a show on the air.

""This photo, taken by a voter this morning at the Ward 4, Precinct 37 polling place (1212 South Plymouth Court, Chicago), shows an election judge checking in voters while wearing an Obama hat," a source writes. "Chicago's 4th ward is home to President Barack Obama."

The voter who took the photo says: "Woman in front of me also given an extra ballot."

And the voter adds that she has in the past been an election observer abroad. "I had greater confidence votes mattered [in a foreign election in a transitioning country] than I did about my own vote today," says the voter."

Eh, nobody's changing their vote based on the attire of the candidate. Plus these guys have been on the road for weeks by now and are probably just looking to be a little comfortable.

Personally, I prefer when a candidate/politician dresses like they have a little bit of style but I also understand that they don't think that plays well to middle America.
