saint louis sucks. we had this shit giftwrapped and invented a new way to lose. unbelievable. sure this isn'st our best team but clemson or florida state would have won this game by double digits. 3/20/2014 10:18:21 PM |

Yes because Warren shot 35% from the line all year long
It was a good season, it was a horrible ending, Warren had a pretty bad game and really even then only bad by his standards
Gottfried could have subbed better in OT but if these guys were even close to the season average on FTs tonight we wouldn't have been there anyway 3/20/2014 10:18:36 PM |

When you don't have a hardass for a coach it takes a meltdown like that before the players believe it will really happen. Unfortunately, we weren't very good for most of the season and never really had to ice a game before today. I'm guessing Tyler/Cat won't let that happen again, but it's kinda too late now. 3/20/2014 10:18:38 PM |

I get that they missed a bunch of free throws. And, if any of you have small children at home, I hope you'll take this opportunity to teach them about the value of making the free ones. You can never learn that lesson too young.
But, for the rest of us, when do we start talking shit about St. Louis? Or did I miss that part already? 3/20/2014 10:19:00 PM |

I took tomorrow off work to go to Wilmington, drink a bunch of beer and watch bball games. But the fact that I'll be with a bunch of Duke fans who will give me a pity party make me just want to stay in bed all day with the blinds closed 3/20/2014 10:20:50 PM |

Hell, if you like that curse theory, today's as good a day as any to believe in it. This looked like 2004 over again.
If you think anyone's saying anything other than "Gott better have them shoot 10000 FTs a day between now and next season," then you must have PTSD from the Herb days. No one is going anywhere and we'll be better next year.
But missing 15 FTs is unfathomable. How does a team collectively do that?

i wonder why washington didn't play. our pick n roll defense went to shit just like in the duke/miami/unc games.

If anything could inspire TJ to stay, it's going out like that. I hope he thinks he's got something left to prove.
Either that, or he stopped caring during this game, which says something about either him or the people backing him up.

Call me crazy, but I find it easier to criticize the guy who's paid millions to win rather than the players who only get the opportunity to earn a degree.
TJ isn't Hodge. He's gone. He can make too much now.

This team is young.
Can't blame a coach for this, dumb to do so. The team played great ball for 35 minutes. So many things went wrong at the end. Missed FTs, turnovers under the other basket, wide open 3s, bad out of bounds call. 1 of those doesn't happen and we win. An assortment of fail cannot be coaching.
Just sucks, would have loved to see this team play Louisville. 3/20/2014 10:30:53 PM |

if there was ANY force that get TJ to want to come back and try one more time. it was a loss like this.

that was as crushing of a loss as I can remember, but holy fuck do losses bring out absolute stupidity in people
for now, without enough time to really re-think the game, I'll blame fatigue and mismanagement of a 16 point 2nd half lead
but that was as epic of a shitting the bed as you're ever gonna see
on the bright side, happy that I haven't seen any ref-blaming. at least we have that going for us.
and TJ averaged 38 minutes during his last 5 games after absolutely carrying us during each of those games. he didn't choke, he was absolutely gassed
