I was offered tickets to the game today so first time going to Wake. Their fans are nice (and very old). A couple thoughts:

- they were definitely chanting “whopper” at DJ. It wasn’t to the tune of the BK commercial though.

- throughout the game DJ was reacting to the crowd. He blew a kiss at someone in the student section who was heckling him. He spoke directly to court side fans a handful of times as well. Seemed to be in good fun and didn’t affect his game, but I do worry how he would react to fan bases who aren’t as nice as Wake with him acknowledging what they are saying.

- I can’t believe DJ took so many shots. Also surprised Wake didn’t go into a hack DJ mode in the late second half

Great to finally witness a win inside LJVC. Holy hell is WF's student support bad. Gone are the days of incessant and never ending Zombie Nation at every dead ball. Only heard it twice.

A great team win overcoming awful shooting and FT %. Glad to see them stick with running everything through DJ Burns. 31 pts from the big man, should have been closer to 35-36 if he made his FTs.

When Smith and Burns are both on the bench the lineup is just inept at being able to move the ball to create chances. I know it's hard without any legit scorers down low, but it's like we just went into a single iso style with either Joiner or Morsell handling the ball and trying to penetrate and it failed over and over.
