It just turns off any time it gets below 80% battery life and not plugged in.

If I try to use Google Maps for more than a minute or two: BAM off.
If I leave the camera up for more than a minute: BAM off.
The other day I was using my Jawbone, hung up the call: BAM off
Today I was talking on the phone: BAM off

Sometimes it'll be checking e-mail, web browsing, or looking at sports scores. It'd be one thing if it just turned off, but it decides (at random) that it doesn't have any battery life and gives me the "low battery" warning, so it won't turn back on until I either wait 5 minutes or I plug it in.

Once I plug it in, it pops back on, tells me I have 78% battery life left and acts like nothing happened at all. Then I load up Maps again and it's off again.

Praise the fun sized Jesus! The Skype app FINALLY got a video chat update. Why in God's name it took this long, I'll never know, but it's here. The number of people I can video chat with just increased by a factor of 1,000.

^^ & ^^^ i used one of those zagg shields for a long time, but then it started to yellow. i peeled it off maybe 6-8 months ago, have been going comando, & have had no problems with the screen. i think the screen covers are unnecessary unless you carry it in your pocket w/ your keys or change or something metal.

I sold a 3G to a guy in Finland for $400, it got lost in customs and he got refunded from me through paypal. I got a letter 7 months later saying they found it and delivered it successfully to the guy but he wouldn't pay me. Paypal dispute did me no good. I tried to recover insurance from USPS but was unable to bc Finland Customs had successfully "processed" the package. I got screwed. I guess it was karma though bc about a year earlier I had purchased a $200 hps grow light and received a refund after 2.5 months of no delivery. It came 3 days later and I did nothing about it. Long story short: USPS sucks and karmas a bitch.

this is why i don't ship internationally. sure you can make a little more $, but it's not worth the extra time, hassle and risk imo.

I totally almost overslept for work today. Went to bed at like 4:30am thinking I would just get up at 2:30. Instead I got lucky and woke up at 2:50 and had to beat feet getting out the door. 4G is just a marketing term now anyway and has no real meaning (not anymore since phone companies basically decided to allow their marketing teams to run with 4G=whatever we can come up with that's faster than 3G).

Technically Verizon's "4G" network is still 3GPP anyway. (So is AT&T's HSPA+ "4G" network too, btw)

Besides, The press conference is being held by Verizon, and not Apple which means that there won't likely be a new product unveiled, but the same "old" iPhone4 with a cdma radio in it. Apple is going to get shittons of sales from people who were holding out for the Verizon iPhone or people jumping ship to VZW "just because". They don't have to have the latest and greatest cellular technology in there right away, they'll save that for the next round of iPhones while still selling millions of the "old tech" versions.
