God damn! I've never had so many people apologize for sucking out on me. I ended up a few big blinds, when I should have been up a few hundred.

Yeah I was really deep in a MTT, and I raise to 6,000 with QQ. 1 caller.... flop comes 10 8 8 and I bet 8,000, he raises me to 20,000. I just call, which I think was a mistake. The correct move here is push or fold, but yet I call, leaving me with about 60,000 in front of me. The next card is a K, making the board K 10 8 8. I check, he bets out 25,000, and I fold.

I played like such a pussy the whole way, and I hate that. It was a rebuy/add-on tourney that started out with 196 people, and at this point there were about 20 left, so I was just into the money. I try to play with the mantra, "I will not let my cards beat me," meaning more or less I will not hold onto a hand just because it is a good hand preflop.

But my mistakes were many there. Like I said, after his raise, I should have folded or pushed. Then, I should have either pushed after the turn or after his 25,000 bet. I was never afraid of the 8's, and to be honest I wasn't really afraid of the K either. I just got a bad feeling, and I think I was way wrong. The guy ended up busting out later, and I saw him get caught on a few bluffs. I really think I folded the best hand, but who knows.....

Vegas Trip Recap

Went down $310 in the first 24 hours. Fought it back to up $85. Then went back down to -$215 on basically 2 hands.

Playing 1-2nl, have $100 in front of me, get AK, raise to $12 preflop, called by 1 guy who calls everything, I have position. Flop is AK9 all clubs. He raises to 20. I try to figure out where he is, he has bet some pots and not had to show. I reraise to $80, he is all in over the top. Call, pray for an A/K I guess. Shows 5/7 clubs and it holds... Different table, had really been letting limpers in. I get A3 hearts in late position, limp in. SB raises to $10. 2 others before me call, I call. I am last to act. Flop is 8/4/2, 4/2 are hearts. SB raises $15, fold/fold, on me... I think, reraise him all in for my last 90, he calls. Shows trip 8's. Next 2 cards are A, A. LOL. Boat beats trip aces.

I think I played hesitantly overall, but when I got into a hand, I went for the homerun. I think I made good moves, just at the wrong time. First hand still pisses me off, I saw him lose MULTIPLE hands while raising $20 with Q high... Fucking putz.

Someone knew Turner from P5's as well, internet famous baby. \

Down overall, but first time in a casino, bring a fucking sweater.

just hit the $1000 mark on Bodog

was sick of ultimatebet so I bought in for $50 on Bodog in early August

I started in the .10/.25 tables but moved up to .25/.50 as soon as I had $200 (I was playing .25/.50 stakes on ultimatebet too)

When is a good/safe time to play in the .5/1 table consistently? I've ventured into .5/1 a few times and always did well.

btw...this 3 table max shit sucks

I don't think i'd buy into .5/1 w/o 30 buy-ins atleast.

So maybe if your buying in short at 50 or so i'd wait til 1500. And thats still kinda not enough.

I'd say 20 buy ins should be good.

That's kind of what happened to me on my first trip to AC Rob. I had a 3 big hands, all coinflips that I lost. Big difference between leaving down $100 vs being up close to a grand.

Quick summary (because Bodog hand history sucks):

4 limpers and I call with A8 hearts in late position

guy on button calls and 6 people see the flop:

5c-6h-2h

everyone checks (including me) and guy with the button raises $4

I am the only caller

turn: 9h

I bet $6 and guy raises to $24

I smooth call

river: 7s

I check and the other guy bets $24...I go all in and make it $71

He's got me covered and calls immediately

His cards: 4h5h My cards:Ah8h

My flush > His Flush

Bitch

"Fire damages tower under construction at Borgata casino

Digg Del.icio.us Facebook Furl Google Newsvine Reddit Spurl Yahoo Print Single page view Reprints Reader feedback Text size: ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - A fire that engulfed a 43-story tower under construction at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa on Sunday only caused "superficial damage" to the structure, authorities said.

No injuries were reported in the blaze, which started at about 7:45 a.m. on the south side of the tower and was under control about 20 minutes later, Atlantic City Fire Captain Michael Mooney said. The cause of the fire remained under investigation Sunday night, but Mooney said it appeared that the blaze started in the breeze way connecting the tower and the main Borgata Casino.

Dubbed "The Water Club," the tower is a $400 million addition that will include 800 guest rooms, a two-story "spa in the sky," five swimming pools and other luxury amenities.

The 457-foot-tall tower, scheduled to be completed early next year, will be one of the tallest buildings in Atlantic City. It was not immediately clear Sunday if the fire would cause the tower's opening to be delayed

Telephone messages left for Borgata officials on Sunday were not returned

I've been playing live games for about 2 years now and I'm thinking about getting into the online stuff. (Mainly because I want to play cards nekkid.)

I've been browsing pokernews to find a good site. What does the majority of TWW play on?

I'm about to join bodog, gimme someone's referral number in the next couple seconds.

utlimate bet is good for bonuses but not enough tables

pokerstars is good...I played there for a year but decided to take all my money out after the whole congress issue

full tilt is good but (to me) I think they have too many tight players

I play on both fulltilt and bodog right now

I like the type of players on Bodog (lots of loose idiodic players) but the pokerpoint system sucks

If I was you I'd go with Bodog, Fulltilt, or pokerstars

Personally, I prefer Bodog over all of them even though they dont have as many players as fulltilt or pokerstars (but more than ultimatebet)

I've been working on this website lately and I was hoping to get some feedback from you guys. It still has a lot of work left, but wanted to see what you all thought.

It is basically a cash game database similar to thepokerdb.com or opr.com but for ring games instead of tourneys. The current data is from my database, but I was hoping a few of you may try to upload your own data to it (if you want me to exclude your name from it, i can). The page load for the browse is a bit slow and I am working on it, so just be patient while it loads. I've been datamining alot lately and plan on uploading new data once a week.

Let me know what you think and what you might like to see. I have a lot planned for it, but was hoping for your opinions.

I have decided I am the worst mixed game player ever. So if I continue to frequent this game I am going to have to read up on it.

What material would you suggest I read? I would say I did a good job of folding and playing in pretty much most hands but i think Omaha H/L will have to be find-tuned.

We played NL Omaha H/L, PL Omaha H and H/L, 7 stud, 5 stud, 5 card double draw, super hold 'em, and a couple of rounds of some complete ?! what is going on games. Pretty much you could call anything without wilds.
