And yeah, that talent calculator got released early so I'm hoping that it was a pre-lim version and not final because no dagger rogue, for raids or pvp, will be changing much. The only change in my build will be 2 points moved from imp parry to imp sprint. I won't get the benefit of any other talent unless I change to swords.

The first glimpse thread showed that the devs were thinking in the right direction for the most part. But if you look at the talent calculator it shows that they missed completely. The WoW rogue forums is filled with hate threads and for good reason.

Pre-med is still the worst 31 pt talent ever. Increasing it's range doesn't make it anymore useful than before.

I'd probably do that

I'd go improved feint and weapon specialization. going to have to get the points in imp feint to keep up with how much more damage rogues will do with +skill. or you're going to have to throttle down even that much more as a horde rogue.

That is a terrible build IMO. Getting 20% more feint doesn't help that much when your burst damage is hindered by not getting 5/5 Lethality. And as nice as +skill is, it's not worth going that far into combat with daggers. Just wear 5BF and ACL or Restless Dreams and you don't need Sleight of Hand or Weapon Expertise.

you're kidding yourself with the+skill comment. +10 weapon skill is by far the most important dps goal in this game. the two in imp feint could easily go into leathality ( I haven't really looked at the math on the feint talent... it could prove to be another imp hunters mark talent and be relativly useless)as well but not at sacrificing +weapon skill. that talent allows you to wear Bonescythe cap over restless dreams. getting deathsting and you can wear the gloves instead of acl.

with 15agil BS gloves have 81 ap 1 crit and 1hit .... that's a much much larger dps boost than 2 points in lethality.

at +10 skill your white hits do 98.5% of normal damage. that's an extrodinary amount large than an extra 12% on your backstabs.

12% damage on an 1800 is 216 damage at most every 6 seconds. as apposed to 100-200 damage on every single white crit.



and after leveling 5 60's I couldnt give a rats bottom about the lore 1-59

yeah well i didnt read every quest either. but some of the later stuff especially in hearthglen and darrowshire is pretty cool.

though i believe the hearthglen stuff is both horde/alliance.

Haha. That is awesome. Granted I would be annoyed if someone was doing that while I was trying to quest but still. Waaaaaay back in the day I was questing in Ashenvale about to turn in a quest (so I am level 20 something) and a orc lock pops up out of no where, flags PvP and chain fears the quest giver so I can't turn in and proceeds to laugh at me as I stand there in dismay.

heres something i have been wondering a while.

say someones account is "hacked" and blizzard replaces all the items. now say that when the account was "hacked" that some items were DE'd/sold at the AH. Would blizz remove those items from those who purchased them or would they not be able to do that. basically do they make sure everything is evened out or do they say fuck it and just restore the items to the character and thats it?

^a member from my guild spent about 2k on ZG coins a couple months ago. One day he logs in and their all gone. He bought them from a farmer obviously, but im not sure if that account got flagged or what. Anyway after a couple days, the GM/CM rolled back the account and gave him the coins. I guess that's a similiar situation.

That depends.

If someone "hacks" your account and sends all the gold to another person, then they will return the gold to you.

If someone shards your gear and distributes it, then what they do depends on how much time they have. If they're bored, they'll trace the shards down and return them to you, if not, they won't and just recreate your character.

July 12, 2006 - It's no secret that an MMO must continue to evolve and add content to keep people coming back, and World of Warcraft is no different. Since its launch in November 2004, we've seen the introduction of several large dungeons, zones, and seasonal celebrations, not to mention new loot, crafting recipes, and Battlegrounds, the popular PvP arenas that Blizzard will be enhancing with cross-realm support in the upcoming 1.12 patch (which, interestingly, will be available on the Public Test Realm ahead of the patch's final release). If you're a player who regularly waits an hour or more for a PvP match that may only last ten minutes, cross-server Battleground should bring some much-needed relief from the waiting game, as well as making Alterac Valley a viable option for people who are playing on servers not in their time zone.


But the big news today is the scoop on world PvP objectives. Whereas before it usually boiled down to getting "wtfpwned" by roving bands of level 60 characters in Stranglethorn Vale, Hillsbrad Foothills and other areas where the victims couldn't possibly be a threat to their assailants, the new world PvP content will take place in Silithus and Eastern Plaguelands, although it may eventually branch out to other areas. Silithus and EPL are the highest-level zones in the game right now anyway (Deadwind Pass is too small to count, really), so it will generally be level 55-60 players bashing away at each other.

In Silithus, the objective revolves around collecting dust, called "silithyst," and players will activate the geysers to collect the silithysts. You get a nice "buff" (stat boost) when you turn in the resources, but you'll be flagged as a PvP player as soon as you pick the stuff up, making you attackable by anyone in the opposing faction while you attempt to make your way back the Field Duty camps associated with the Cenarion Hold faction quests. If you manage to turn in enough of the dust, all of your fellow faction members in the zone will gain a buff as well, including those in the "AQ20" Ahn'Qiraj dungeon. Also, Blizzard tells us that no new PvP rewards are on the horizon, although faction and PvP honor points will be involved.

In the Eastern Plaguelands, we'll have a PvP mode that's similar to the Arathi Basin play style, rather than the resource collection in Silithus. There are several towers in this zone, already standing, that will be converted to captureable bases. You'll need to control and defend each tower, and the faction who possesses all four will gain zone-wide benefits like in Silithus. In addition to increased damage against the many undead creatures there (and in Stratholme), there will also be PvP-specific flight paths connecting the towers to each other. Although this game type has been prone in the past to tactical exploitation by rogues and other stealthy classes, Blizzard plans to implement a feature where the time it takes to capture a tower is reduced according to how many friendly players are nearby. If you are a stun-kill-disappear commando, you may find your usual tactics less useful here. Also, unlike Silithus, there is no automatic PvP flagging.

capturable points in epl and silithus. not really what i was hoping for :-/

will be 5million Alliance vs 5 horde in those areas on my server.

there are buffs from holding the points in the zone as well as buffs for players in instances in the zone

It seems kind of lame to me. I'm sure people will eat this up for a few weeks, but the rewards suck. I'd rather build AV rep than fight over a buff.

It would be cool if they could tie the tower buff to a raid encounter in Naxxaramus and somehow combine a PVE event with outdoor PVP.

On another note, has anyone else had the Trash in Deathknight Wing glitch? Yesterday we went there and the first group of skeletons proceeded to Arcane Explosion every 2-3 seconds for 2-3k a pop. It was a quick wipe since we didn't expect it, but when we tried again, they didn't have it anymore ~.~

depending on what the buff is you could have raid parties fighting on their way to do strat/naxx for the buffs before they enter.
