I'm having trouble with pahud, let's see if any of you geniuses can help me.....
I have configured pahud for memory scan mode with ps, i have chosen the option to have ps save handhistories to the default folder. I'm not playing at the table, i'm only observing, and the handhistories are actually being saved in a pahud folder not my ps folder, which i assume is correct since i'm not playing......running ptracker i try to import from pahud's folder, however the file being saved in pahud's data/temp/stars folder is gibberish, it's not english handhistories, it's just garbage, seems like i'm having some conversion problem, any ideas? 10/16/2007 7:02:30 AM |

How do the hand histories get saved while observing if you don't have ace hud reading them? FYI I use it with UB so I don't know if there are differences.10/16/2007 9:38:57 AM |

Correct. You can not datamine PS, which is a major reason it's not my main site. The HUD will only be useful to you while you're playing, just make sure PT is set to find your HH files in the default PS directory and the numbers should pop up once you log enough hands with a certain player(you can adjust that number in HUD preferences). 10/16/2007 1:32:06 PM |

yea, 10 max live tables are soooooooooooo much better than these knit-infested online tables
so did i understand correctly that i can't get hand histories if i'm not sitting at the table on ps? bc that is crappy. is it easy/fast to use epassporte to transfer funds from say ps to ub? 10/16/2007 6:38:13 PM |

no, it takes a week or more to get epass set up with a bank account. you can transfer me your ps balance and I'll transfer it back to your ub account if you want.10/16/2007 8:19:28 PM |

^thx man, i actually already have an epassporte account, but never used it much....i just checked out ub and i just don't think they have enough game selection, i mean they barely have any limit he at any stakes, seems if you don't play nl cash there's nothing on there for you.....i guess i'm gonna check out ft and if they don't have much either i'll just have to stick with ps 10/16/2007 8:24:57 PM |

Doing well. I've been playing 6 max very low limit ring games thanks to the help of noidroid. I'm also trying to get back into playing mtts. I've started playing some of those Sunday each week. ^^^^ i think the best move is to raise to about 1500. then if you misss the flop completely if called you can decide if you want to do the stop and go (small raise with small stack and push on the flop no matter what) or check or fold if the board looks bad. Really you are only gonna get called or raised by a hand thats better than yours in both situations with the smallish stack sizes in the blinds, so you can then make the decision. I mean if you raise to like 1500, the sb goes all in, you have 6500 for a pot of 525+600+1500+8000. This way you arent completely committed to the hand if someone in the blinds or on the button goes all in. I think you are in the zone where this play is still feasible.
whatchu think dave

You're right, the raise would have been safer...I didn't particularly want a call and I was trying to take advantage of the cut off. I didn't think either of the blinds would call with anything short of high pocket pair so who I was really worried about was the button. The option I haven't thought of was to fold preflop and avoid the situation all together...
btw, I have back problems too. My dad has had surgery and it cooped him up for a while and really didn't help him that much. Go w/ surgery as your last possible choice...I'm trying to deal w/ the pain until I get deal w/ it anymore. 10/27/2007 1:03:56 AM |

ugh.. I think my long stint at UB has come to an end
I just realized that my rakeback this month is barely covering what I contributed to their stupid bad beat jackpot. I realize that I'm not technically losing any equity from my bbj rakes, but it is my personal preference to have a consistent monthly reward payment than a slim chance of winning big(here's the underlying reason I'm a cash game player instead of a mtt player btw). I love UB but I just cant justify it anymore, there's only 1 or 2 non-bbj tables running at any given time for the games I want to play.
I'll prolly fuck around at stars for november to see how I like it, I've done some research and estimated that if I bust my ass and become a supernova in '08 those rewards would be worth more than rakeback anyways. If I don't like it there next month I'll try for rakeback at FT, if that doesnt work maybe I'll go bodog/prima. Thoughts?

I played my first live tournament today. It was a 200+25 no rebuy 11K guaranteed first place. Total prize pool ended up being 27.6K with about 140 entrants. Top 10 were payed. With probably 25 people left and me with about half the average chip stack I triple up with AK all in preflop.
I came into the final table with an average stack and I was pleasantly greeted with some bad play. I ended up taking first. They didn't tax it either 11/4/2007 10:45:19 PM |
