This is true, but I still see executive bitch. You'll notice that I rephrased that statement very quickly because I realized it looked as though I was saying you'd actually wear it to work. I think you just can't handle the fact that I don't like it.

Thank you very much son, I'm glad to help.

Btw, I didn't call her a bitch. Well, at least not directly. Please do tell me why I should think otherwise of her?

if you're part of the wedding party, don't pick a dress with white trim, especially if the bride's dress is white.

I don't mind the color at all, Sam and Kelly. I do want to choose a more springy color sash thingy.

Whoa...didn't think of that and she is def about some etiquette!!! I wonder if I could get the top part of that dress in a different color.

I do believe you can think what you want so I will not try to change your opinion. I just don't think of her that way and I don't normally call women bitches, except Lila from season 2 of Dexter.

Gosh, I just love the way that first one looks with the white. I am sadface that one might be a problem because of the white. I know for sure I will not steal the show with my friend Dani because she will look amazing, I just don't want to be disrespectful of her and her day.

I do want a brighter sash color if I do choose that second dress just to spring it up a bit. I LOVE burnt orange. It is one of my favorite colors.

me too!! i have 3 pairs of moccasins and they all have held up so well and i've had them all for at least 3 years, some longer.

the boots are JUST as comfortable so far. i've been wearing them around the house haha.

seriously the best shoes ever. minnetonkas rule. i want another beaded pair. they have a grey pair in the thunderbird with sole. i have the soft soled thunderbird in blue which i love, but they are hard to wear on anything but a sunny, completely dry day since they have a soft sole.

oh and to contribute to the convo...i also think burnt orange can look good! i actually kind of like that color. whoops. then again i did just receive fringe boots in the mail so my fashion tastes are kinda out thurrr

I'm a HUGE fan of the burnt orange.

This is my burnt orange handbag:

I'm trying to think of what color sash would be appropriate to accompany your dress though... hmm

Chocolate brown would probably look best but it would make it look fall-themed

Don't get me wrong, I agree that certain things in that color can spice things up... I just think it's cruel for a bride to assign that color to all bridesmaids because not everyone can pull it off. Hopefully she considered everyone's skin tone

Punchmonk- do you know the flowers she is going to use- or the other accent color shes doing in the wedding? Maybe that would help with a sash color.

Not knowing how correct the colors on my computer screen are, I like the pistachio or glass green with it cause it seems to brighten the dress up some for spring.

Ladies, I am not sure if this has been posted in this thread or not, but there is currently a JCrew Warehouse sale in Chapel Hill (at University Mall). I went over the weekend, and got 2 pairs of shoes, 3 cashmere sweaters, 3 dressy tops, and 2 dresses. It's going on through the 23rd, and they keep refilling their selection

I got a pair of $200 leather "driving" flats for $30. A pair of jeweled heels, $30... All shoes are $30, All cashmere is $40, regular tops are $10, sweaters $20, dresses $20 (and that includes the fancy dresses and the casual dresses), swimsuits $4, accessories $8. They have crewcuts and men too, just not as much left there. I can't remember the pricing on jackets and blazers, but it was still great. If you go at a popular time, be prepared to wait in line, but it's a fast moving line!

Through January 23rd, 10am-8pm.

^^^yeah, meg, I just talked to my bff and she is not wanting me to wear white just for the fact that she might not wear a white dress. It might be ivory, champagne, antique white, etc. and she does not want it to clash. I think I like that one better too but it is def out of the question now.

HALP!

ok i need fashion help. i'm pretty much a disaster.

i have this dress in black:

and i need shoes to go with it. i'm short and the dress is kinda long on me so flats aren't an option. anywho, i'm really poor so i need to keep it cheap, like no more than $40 if possible. so that narrows things down. i like plain stuff and i am not very adventurous. any suggestions or examples?

go to DSW they have awesome options. i would go with silvery or gold - depending on what your jewelry choice is

Or go with something fun and bright - pink or cobalt blue or even a jewel purple

i don't really wear jewelry. maybe earrings but hardly ever

and thanks for the suggestions BUT i have no idea what to even look for? is there a certain style or height or... anything i should be considering? or anything i should stay away from?

i like the zebra idea. something funky and fun would be awesome. if you're not super comfortable with walking in heels, the height of the zebra shoe i think would work well.

and dsw has TONS of stuff. those were seriously just on the website in the <$40 range. the store has a shitload of stuff.

i like the colored shoe idea...maybe a red or purple or something. i also like the gold idea. gold or nude is always classic.

its a black dress so its really up to YOU! you can do almost anything. i think you could do a peep toe too to sexyyyy it up a little, if you wanted

i like the last one you posted kat, but im not sure about the color. along those same lines, are there any color shoes that go particularly well with black dresses, and any that are absolutely horrible?

i know these might seem kind of silly questions. i really don't know though.
