Dunno what you need in the way of desks, but I've been looking at some on CL and there are some decent ones on there.

Furniture made these days is so fucking ugly I really don't even bother looking at new stuff. I still need to check out the unfinished furniture places, though.

He's finally realizing that hey, this place does kinda look like crap. Since we're remodeling the kitchen soon out of necessity, he's coming around to making changes. He even asked about getting the carpet cleaned
