Yes the Daytime cold meds with acetominophin and the ibuprofin are woking to make me fell less like death, the daytime cold meds are keeping me up.

Guiafenisen I think is the culprit. At least I don't feel like death anymore.

haha, daytime cold meds have nothing in them to keep you awake, they just dont have anything in them that will make you actively drowsy.


guifenesin is in pretty much all cold formulations


except dayquil ironically:
DayQuil's active ingredients are: Acetaminophen 325 mg, Dextromethorphan HBr 10 mg, Phenylephrine HCl 5 mg

by comparison nyquil
* Acetaminophen (500 mg/15mL) (pain reliever/fever reducer)
* Dextromethorphan (15 mg/15mL) (cough suppressant)
* Doxylamine succinate (6.25 mg/15mL) (antihistamine/hypnotic)


there is no antihistamine in the daytime formulation to active make you sleepy

the phenylephrine "might" make you a little jittery if you have never taken any kind of stimulants before, but it shouldnt keep you awake for hours
