CHE was tough, especially junior/senior years. I was thinking more of freshman/soph years. And still, college was simpler than post-college life.
Get your HW done, go to classes, pass the tests, thats all you got to do. The rest is free time.7/19/2005 4:21:56 PM |

I can't believe it, but I miss the Starcade on Hillsborough Street most of all. I could go in there with a dollar and be thoroughly entertained playing fighting games for hours on end. I really miss good competition.
Everything else I miss, I find I miss because I'd like to go back again and change it. Lots of regrets, to say the least. 7/19/2005 5:17:43 PM |

1) Ears ringing at half time of any game in Reynolds. 2) walking back from Reynolds after a big win (back then, that was ANY win) surrounded by students who shared your excitement. 3) Saturday mornings before football games 4) Crisp fall air 5) "Eh... I'll do it tomorrow." 6) Getting up at 7:55 to make an 8:05. 7) Tucker Beach 8) Tucker Beach 9) Tucker Beach 10) Everything about it that wasn't class related. 7/21/2005 9:12:22 AM |

The way the afternoon sun came into Thompkins hall in October. The feeling of starting afresh every semester The feeling of accomplishment the day I received my diploma Waiting with friends in the fair grounds parking lot for the bus on a cold morning The fair The sound of the baseball bats cracking while I was studying in early Feb in Lee Hall..a sure sign that spring was on it's way 7/21/2005 6:07:58 PM |

damn, I feel really old right about now....
Brent Rd was fun up until about '99, though '97 was the best I thought. I am surprised the Lawn Party hasn't come up yet, that was a great time until they shut it down.
[edit] - something I don't miss - walking up 12 flights of stairs every time someone decided to pull the Metcalf fire alarm

football games as a student....all changes once you graduate, even if you get season tickets, just different.
also, thank god i was at NCSU during the Rivers era, he graduated in my class(was in several of his classes in the Bizz school), because Pack football has gone down the shitter since he left.

I just miss Raleigh in general, I'm stuck in Pensacola FL right now and that town is definatly the armpit of the south, there's like 3 good bars and the beach. That's IT. Raleigh was really nice (never thought I'd say that) compared to here. 7/25/2005 9:30:58 AM |

I'm with George, this thread makes me
- Hanging out late in the dorms with the guys on my floor, just going from room to room seeing what was happening - Having class no earlier than 11:25 any day of the week (one semester) - Weekends starting at 10am on Friday - Afternoon naps - Having everything change each semester. It was nice that you got to start over new every 4 months or so. - Carmichael - Eating at Case Dining Hall when I lived on campus
I could keep going but I won't... 7/25/2005 9:54:06 AM |
