For the most part, I don't think most "army people" think they're better than you or me. A lot of them think they are worse off; latest polls say morale among the troops in Iraq is down. I used to live in Fayetteville/Ft Bragg, and my father was in the military, and my brother currently is, so I've been around military most of my life, and yeah, you get some cocky SOB vets who seem to want to remind you every minute they can that they "fought for YOUR freedom." But you talk to a lot of them in Iraq, or even down at Ft. Bragg, and they'll tell you they can't wait to get the fuck out.
