Actually, it's pretty good, it's about where the Peach Drop is and there's enough to do and a good mix of crowds that it's enjoyable.

And Colby, shut your face. We can't all live in little mexico .

One little Mexico/Vietnam is on Buford Hwy about 3 miles N from me...

The Peach drop is a big mix (so, a good sampling of Atl), then right next to that you have Kenny's Alley for drinks, but last year the lines were so long we just came back to my apt. and had the after-party.

This year we're planning something in Midtown...

my parents are coming to visit soon. any ideas on what do/show them around? i was thinking maybe take them down peachtree from buckhead all the way to downtown (yeah, i know its a pain, but i think they would actually enjoy seeing the different parts of the city) and maybe eat at R Thomas. Beyond that, i got nothing. Anyone know if the Aquarium is still stupid crowded on the weekends? what about the olympics park area, i forget what its called. is it nice or is it ghetto?

by the way, i work in the midst of little mexico/vietnam near buford hwy. we occasionally have to call the cops to get the literally ~50 mexican day workers hanging around out of our parking lot. there's an apartment complex over there called Don Juan Duplexes. That's literally the name, and its looks exactly as its name implies.

oddly enough, i looked at some lofts very near to that area, just behind where they are building that new walmart on peachtree industrial. they are stupid expensive. they start at $180,000 for a 1br 700sq ft plus $5000 for the first parking spot. i think each additional parking spot was something rediculous, like $12,000 or something. and they weren't even that nice. i called the sales lady out on the chintzy construction as she was showing us around. apparently buying a place down here just isn't going to happen for me. living way outside of town and commuting in just isn't worth it to me.

Centennial Park is nice, perhaps you can still do Ice Skating. There's hockey and basketball games that you can get into pretty cheap if you can find a student id.

Driving Peachtree is a must for parents, for some reason they get a real kick out of seeing it all. Shopping in Little 5 is always fun. My mom loved sushi at Sweet Lime. The Aquarium is a good hit during the weekdays. The CNN Tour and Coke Museum are super touristy.

What would they like?
