you mean the hornets ummm bats changed their name again? trying to be like anaheim or something. if that's the case they should just call themselves the greater greensboro grasshoppers of guilford county.

really, haven't heard anything about it as i really haven't been in the state for a year. I knew they were trying to build a new stadium or something. Probably needed it but i hate to see War Memorial go. Actually remember watching Donny Baseball play 1st base for the Hornets back in the day. Saw allot of guys come through there including Roberto Kelly, Stan Javier, Mike Pagrarullio (obnoxious spell checkers feel free to jump in here), Ozzie Canseco. Anyone remember when they changed from the Hornets to the Bats because of George Shinn's bitching? Had a fake mascot competition between the Hornet and Buzz (i think) that was totally rigged. Loser had to change his name NWA wrestling style or something. LOL

The stadium is only one year old. It's downtown and is very nice.
