i have a bit more fundamental problem--never liked ChE in the first place, but since i always finish what i start there i have it now. granted, im not the only one

totally understand. i don't mind engineering from the general approach of whats going on, how does this work, whats not working. but i hate hate hate it when i have to run detailed models or calcs. good thing is that most of the time my job is more the general chem engineering type.

originally i was going into the more materials science side of che - polymers, lab type stuff, etc. a lot of times i wish i had stayed there. i just didn't have the patience to stick around for a phd.

ehh, i stayed in the lab and then again, grass seems greener over at your guys end....process eng and such.

i dont mind engineering either, but i wish i went for some other branch. just about the only thing i liked about ChE was the fact it was hard and made you feel good when you finished it. you really ought to be a special person to go for PhD ChE. all will and no love will not suffice.
im thinking med school for a long time now and once i gather myself i'll do something about it.
