so you just want him to clean up your bullshit? deleting countless bullshit threads is no way to go about moderation. moderation includes taking more extreme action against those who repeatedly break the rules or just generally try to annoy others.


think about it from a law enforcement point of view. if you commit a crime, the threat is arrest, fine, jail, death penalty. various levels of threats. repeat offenders get heftier and heftier sentances. shouldn't the same be true for tww? post the car once, it gets deleted. post it twice, it gets deleted and you get warned. post it over and over and you get suspended.

or did you have some other idea for moderation?

How long are they suspended for?

I think they should be suspended for at least 7 days, especially now since they are doing it in direct defiance of your clearly stated rules.

Second time offenders should be suspended for 30 days, as long as they are informed after their first suspension.

Third time offenders should be terminated.

As long as the rules and the punishments are clearly stated, NO ONE has a place to complain.

moderating would have been editing bassman's post and MOVING THE THREADS TO THE TRASH CAN

locking the threads and leaving them here isn't moderating, he can move them to the trash can but he doesn't, it's clearly posturing...

suspending people because they poke fun at the fact that he doesn't moderate also isn't moderating, it's posturing

he wants to stay a mod even though he doesn't do shit... the fact that all of his "moderation" is half-assed and designed to make it look like he's doing something (instead of, you know, him actually doing something) is pretty fucking obvious

let's not go into some of his past moderation (suspending people for JavaScript they didn't post then pulling a Noen-style redefinition of the English language to justify it, etc etc)

not only should there be a new Garage mod, but sparky should be canned and charged retroactively for the premie he's enjoyed all these years
