I mean, he can go to Agilent just the same as EVERY ONE ELSE and look at the damn data sheets.

http://www.home.agilent.com/cgi-bin/pub/agilent/Product/cp_ProductComparison.jsp?NAV_ID=-536893644.0.00&LANGUAGE_CODE=eng&COUNTRY_CODE=US

And ANY laser mouse claiming 1000+ dpi is using one of those kits right now. They got laser mice on patent lockdown. So claiming OMG it uses "Razer Precision" when it's the same damn agilent chipset, is falling for shit just like everyone else.

Keep trying to convince me that somehow your mouse is getting MORE information through the same line.

Fact remains, USB1.1 is USB1.1. ALL the damn USB microcontrollers STILL support legacy PS2 modes, NONE support any kind of high speed transfer rates, so the responsiveness is THE SAME.

meh, there is some difference between good optical mice and cheap optical mice though. my 14 dollar optical mouse would tend to go nuts if I moved it too fast (causing me to spaz out in games like counterstrike.) that doesn't happen with my mx510... but I only paid 24 bucks for it. although the laser mice are cool looking, and the weighted cartridges are kinda cool, I'm hard pressed to find a real reason to ditch the more than acceptable mx510.

so even though Noen's yelling like a nutjob about it, he is right for the most part. I mean there are reasons to get a retardedly expensive controller... but I sure as hell don't have money to justify it and it's more of a comfort and use issue than a performance issue.

there is a huge difference between a laser mouse and an optical mouse. There are TONS of optical controllers out there.
