I really like the new Bowser castle track and the Air Fortress one (modeled after the huge fortresses in SMB3). I only wish these were available in the online play. I just unlocked the third set of karts and Luigi's one is awesome.

I'm still debating making the purchase of the DS just for this game.

What are the tracks in this game - and from games are they from? Like is N64's rainbow road in the game?

So then I assume that railbow road isn't the rainbow road from the 64

nope, it's a new one
not as good as the cube one, but about as good as the 64 one

I was hoping the 4th retro cup was gonna be all of the rainbow roads though - that would've been cool

Anyone have all of the unlocks yet? I have unlocked Dry Bones, Daisy, and Waluigi, as well as one extra kart for each character. What are the other things that are unlocked after you beat both cups on 150cc and maybe get three stars on the mission levels?

If this color didn't burn my eyes it would have pushed me over the edge.

I ain't got no problem with the red. I'd put State stickers on it.

Sky Garden is probably my all-time favorite Mario Kart track. I've spent hours running time trials on it.

If I didn't already have a DS and MK DS, I'd totally buy that set. The red is badass.

So I finally got a wireless router, and I'm able to connect to Nintendo WFC, but it's been searching for people to play with for like ten minutes. Any ideas?

Nevermind, it worked on the second try.

After you get C rank or better on the last of the 150cc it unlocks the Mirror 150 class, which is the levels backwards. Also, I have I think 8 vehicles for each driver, but I don't remember what unlocked it.

I'm curious about this too. Does this work with NCSU's wireless? Since nomad requires you to login via unity ID...

Doubt it.

btw, I'm still having a hell of a time finding online partners to play with. It takes a good 5-10 minutes to find four people, if it can even find people at all.

I'm not having any problem with finding partners - takes less than 1 minute.

Does it help it you look for people worldline instead of local?

Has anyone successfully used the NCSU wireless like in the library or Daniels or somewhere else on campus?

Are you doing regional or worldwide? I would think worldwide gives you more people to work with, but maybe the servers are more bogged down or something.

Oh, and I beat the first half of mirror class last night which unlocked R.O.B. (the nintendo robot doohickey).

Is r.o.b. super fast - or just another character?

His car is really fast, but I already had access to it by the time I unlocked him.

Still, he's fun to play with. HE'S A FUCKING ROBOT.

I have unlocked his car and it has a good top speed but it is heavy so if you end up off the track you are usually in 8th place by the time you get back on.

Is there anything to be had for finishing all the missions? Or getting all 3 star ratings or something?

I think you unlock a level 7 if you get a starr or better on each mission

Some of their choices for the Retro Kart are lame. NONE of the best Super Nintendo tracks made it into the game. Bowser Castle 3, a ghost level, Rainbow Road, just something better than what we got.

Retro tracks should become a staple of the MK series from now on. They just need to make better choices next time around.
