I am going to the Universiteit van Amsterdam to study International Relations and Law starting in January. I can't wait!! Hopefully I will either get a job with the State Dept afterwards or I will go to law school somewhere. 11/7/2005 11:51:08 AM |

Worked on a PhD at UMass Amherst for a bit before burning out and fleeing the country. Upon my return, I started attending Washington University in St. Louis part time to finish off my MS. 11/17/2005 2:12:12 AM |

BS in Civil Engineering at State in May 2003
applied to UNC-Charlotte and NCSU for Masters and chose NCSU just to keep things inexpensive (out of school tuition) and simple. I knew people in Raleigh and just wanted to enjoy my college experience just a little longer, honestly.

to clarify, i'm currently working towards it, I don't have it yet. I'm working full time while attempting it, so i'm only taking 3-6 hours per semester. Should be done by spring or summer 07 12/8/2005 1:19:00 PM |

I will be finishing the PhD in electrical eng: systems at Univ. of Michigan next year. A warning to those interested in a doctoral degree... It can be quite a miserable experience, and you will certainly pass the point of diminishing returns wrt your educational gains. Be certain of your motivations before starting, otherwise there is a high risk of burn-out. Of course, you can follow the path that many do by quitting with the MS. 12/8/2005 9:36:12 PM |

^^^seems like you picked those for location and not ranking.
From US News; Biological Science--General: UNC--28 Arizona--43 NCSU--71 AZ St--75
Cell Biology: Only ranks top 10. None of the schools you mentioned are in there.
Try phds.org for plant science.

i'm getting my mba here at state with a concentration in supply chain management.
i'm pretty pumped about it considering that a couple second years just got jobs making close to six figures and the range for internship pay for first years is between $25 to $53 an hour...not too shabby
scm is the place to be at nc state thanks to handfield, edwards, warsing, bozarth, etc...it's nc state and michigan state as the top 2 in the country for supply chain (according to hiring companies).
http://scm.ncsu.edu and http://scrc.ncsu.edu are some useful resources if interested.
