^Costner was playing on a bum ankle. Only reason he was out there was b/c they needed more guys.

Friday was his first practice since sitting out with the ankle injury. I wouldn't put much stock into his performance today.

I'm not putting too much stock into anything I saw today at the red-white game. There were players playing that wont see the floor this year unless we're up by 40. I think the best few players from each team today will mesh well together, but we could still go 9 deep. There were some good plays and some bad plays, we'll see how it goes in a few weeks.

He recorded 7 outs. 2.1 innings = 7 outs. So 7 outs + 3 walks + 1 hit leaves 2 batters unaccounted for (assuming no double plays or pickoffs or caught stealing etc.). Those 2 could easily be fielder's choices or errors.

Update, looked at the play by play for the games, one batter reached on an E9 in his first appearance and E6 in his last appearance.
