That schedule is a nightmare on the ice...and for a team as speedy as the Canes, poor quality ice could cause serious issues. 11/20/2005 10:57:18 PM |

Yeah I was referring to the original scheduled time. Im not sure which schedule was out first, but Im fairly certain a gametime can be changed later if necessary.11/21/2005 11:10:04 AM |

I hated having to sit in the upper deck Friday when the lower deck was 1/3 full b/c those seats were "sold out" and the Gale Force nazis are there to keep people in their rightful section.
Also the Canes have no reason to complain about scheduling/short turnarounds with basketball, considering they hopped on the wagon for NC State's new basketball arena and basically got everything they wanted. 11/21/2005 11:18:13 AM |

At least they'll have all day Tuesday to get the ice right before the Ottawa game. 11/21/2005 11:28:56 AM |

I agree. The people who are between sections don't really care, but it's the asses guarding the top entrances that are being nazis. There should be a disclaimer on the student tickets that says "If you aren't at the game within 10-15 minutes after tipoff, you have lost your seats and must find somewhere else to sit." That way at least the area around the court can be filled with students who actually care instead of just having empty seats.

^It's not just the student seats. Heck, it's mostly non-student seats, considering the students that are there all tend to be at the front anyway. Many other arenas I've been to invite fans in the upper deck to move down a bit after tipoff via a PA announcement. 11/21/2005 12:56:04 PM |

just go to one of the endzones and sit in the permanant seats. I've never had anyone check my ticket there. 11/21/2005 3:08:44 PM |

i work on the changeover crew at the rbc center and let me tell you, last night was crazy. we went from basketball to hocket in 1 hr 45 mintues, a new record. And to the guy who was bitching earlier, no one kicked anyone out of the section, we moved the seats that were unoccupied only (at least on south end, I don't knwo about north, but dave olsen would not allow us to do anything stupid like that and I hope none of the ppl I work with would do the same). 11/21/2005 6:18:00 PM |

If you've got direct contact with Dave Olsen, let him know the new policy of not letting anyone, even children, go down to the glass to watch warmups without a ticket for the glass seats is ridiculous. The Hurricanes have immediately become the most inhospitable team in the league. 11/21/2005 6:22:50 PM |

I can pass that along to him. I talked to him last night a little bit, he was actually helping up changeover!. Sometimes I just wonder about the inner workings of the organization, last night we got lucky and got a suite for busting our balls to changeover, but other times we just get MAYBE a pat on the back. 11/21/2005 7:51:09 PM |
