no it really revs higher... supercharged cobras redline at 6500 i think the vette is 7500

vette z06 redline is 7000

stroke IS longer in the vette (~90mm ford vs ~100mm vette), so I'd attribute it to quality control of LS7 production (balancing, machining, quality, etc) over a modular 4.6L

actually its because they didn't want to cross the 400hp line i think... that motor is one of the strongest ever produced and it has 7000 rpm capable cams in it..

the turbo guys spin them to 8500 all the time.

ok so i base it purely on preference (not the reason for such an ass stomping); i like the simplicity of pushrods, less parts, cheaper, etc; something about the way it lopes too compared to high duration OHC engines
