Oh, yeah, right. Conservatives are being "driven away" from TWW by insults. What a load of crap. I'm a conservative and I'm still here. I oppose abortion, gun control, illegal immigration, big govrnment, big spending, etc. And that's why I have to oppose Bush, because he's in favor of those things.

Your problem is that you think that in order to be a "conservative", you have to support Bush or the Republicans. WRONG. True conservative oppose Bush and the Republicans because they are for big government, big spending, do nothing to stop illegal immigration, etc.

You think that "conservatives are being driven away" apparantly becaue there aren't many Bush supporters around here. HELLO! Have you seen the polls? At the most, only 30% of the population even supports this guy anymore. That's based on the MSM polls. It's probably much lower than that. Only around 25% (again, at the most) believe Bush tells the truth and is trustworthy. Some polls show that 95% believe he intentionally lied about Iraq's WMDs. THERE AREN'T MANY BUSH SUPPORTERS OUT THERE ANYMORE. Even people that voted for Bush are turning on him. Overall, the American people are fed up with both the republicans and the democrats.

Cut to the chase and talk about some real issues. Tell us how Bush doing nothing to stop illegal immigration, proposing amnesty for illegal aliens, and calling the Minutemen vigilantes is "conservative." Tell us how Bush jacking the national debt up 3 Trillion dollars and borrowing more money THAN ALL OTHER PRESIDENTS COMBINED is "conservative." Why did Bush support extending the assault weapon ban? Oh, and what has Bush done to stop abortion? Nominate PRO-abortion Alito to the supreme court? I thought conservatives were for small government and cutting government spending. I thought that they opposed gun control and abortion. What kind of "conservative" is Bush? He doesn't look conservative at all to me. He may talk like one, but he acts like a big-government liberal. In my estimation, his talk that he's conservative is bs. It's a rouse to trick true conservatives into voting for him.

Maybe you can set me straight. Don't you have the answer?

Bush and most Republicans on Capital Hill are not conservatives. A conservative would cut taxes AND cut spending. A socialist would increase taxes and increase spending. Bush/Republicans have cut taxes but increased spending. I don't even know what the hell to call that, except stupidity. Meanwhile they've passed the Patriot and Real ID Acts which are (and will be) used to slowly erode our freedoms away until we wake up to a surveillience (sp) police state. And he has sent our soldiers off to war, ill prepared (as far as equipment goes) while he and the Senators/Congressmen on Capital Hill are making over 150K a year. Fucking ridiculous in my opinion. I don't see how anyone could defend Bush, the majority of the Republicans, or the Democrats.
