Marshall had a great QB...and no defense. TCU had a great RB, and mediocre team. The fact that these are your examples of glory is less than sad. What did you do with the coach that dragged your program into these games? How relevant is that to the status of your program today?

Until you can get 6 wins playing in the new C-USA (remember, the Big East took the cream of the mediocre crop) negates your ability to talk smack to anyone about your football team.

my point is that none of those teams were any good. marshall and tcu may not have been powerhouses but at least they have two players that are at the top of the nfl. who did minnesota and notre dame have?

also, both of those teams were top 20 programs when we faced them. as were we for two of those years.

I dont remember Minnesota but Notre Dame had a running back by the name of Julius Jones, one of the up and coming backs in the NFL now. I do believe Minn. was favorites over us to win in that bowl.

My favorite part was when they were down by like 30 in the 4th quarter and onside kicked it, and we ran the kick in for a score.
