Cover letters are as a form of introduction to the employer (what position you are interested in, why you are a good fit for the job/company, etc).
Therefore when you are connecting with an employer in person (interview or career fair), you do NOT need a cover letter.
Cover letters allow you to make a more detailed, persuasive arguement for why you would be a good hire for a company. They allow you to demonstrate your skills, and your understanding of the company and their available position. 2/15/2006 11:46:46 AM |
