hmmm for some reason, i always wind up "breaking" a contact somehow my eyes are just MEAN one will always wind up odd shaped or just not willing to go back in no matter how long i let it soak or what...
QUESTION FOR PAGE 2:
Quote : | "does anyone have one eye that is more evil to the contacts than the other? i ALWAYS run out of left lenses before i run out of right lenses and that dates back to high school, when i first started with contacts..." |

alot of people don't even clean them once a week and rarely take them out period. people tend to get very abusive with their contacts which can really fuck w/ you.. esp if you don't let your eyes get enough oxygen etc. people treat them more as an accessory.. than something that could seriously affect their health.
if you've had no probs good for you, but thats typically not the case 12/8/2005 11:27:58 AM |

^^^oh, yeah thats true
i just thought you meant using a 2-week contact for more than 2-weeks
no, i'd NEVER advocate wearing a contact lense 24 hours a day, 7 days a week...
thats just foolish 12/8/2005 12:54:07 PM |

About 70% contacts. I try not to wear my glasses except at night but some days my eyes are really dry so I have to wear glasses. I have really bad allergies and they didn't think I'd be able to wear contacts at all, but I found a type that I can tolerate. 12/8/2005 12:56:44 PM |

I'd guess 98% contacts 2% glasses. I always take them out at night before I go to bed, but there are occasional w/ends where if i'm feeling lazy I'll only use glasses 12/8/2005 1:09:16 PM |

My vision isn't that bad but for driving and seeing things far away (ie, tv, movie theater) I wear glasses 100% of the time. I think I look better in them. My mom always tells me to take them off for pics but every male friend I've had/guy I've dated has loved my glasses. Tortoise-shell Ralph Lauren. what what? 12/8/2005 2:39:00 PM |

biggest problem i have is that when i am in my contacts, in every single picture with flash that has ever been taken by a non professional photographer, i look like the devil. thank god for digital where i can go in and fix the red eye. 12/8/2005 4:38:49 PM |

i wear glasses about 35-40% of the time. i wear contacts for work, but every so often i'll give my eyes a break and wear glasses for a while. acuvue advance are better lenses for people with slight astigmatism b'c they stick to your eye much better than the previous acuvue2 or 1.

i postulate that the contacts accelerate wear on the surface of the eye, thus exacerbating any existing dry eye symptoms when you aren't wearing them. when wearing them, you have another layer on your eye that is smoother and keeps more moisture trapped under the surface.

100% contacts. i wear focus night & days. best choice i could've ever made. it was such a bitch waking up and putting contacts in and taking them out at night. now i can drunkenly pass out without waking up to dry eyes. 12/9/2005 2:16:08 AM |

Mostly contacts, but I'll wear my glasses when I'm lazy or its late and I wanna stay up but my eyes can't tolerate the contacts. I definately don't have the tolerance for wearing them that I used to.

63.215300095 contacts; the rest (you do the math) glasses. glasses can make you look sexy, which is not the case for me 12/9/2005 2:27:24 AM |

i got glasses either my junior or senior year in highschool. i think i broke them after a couple of months
i didn't wear anything for a couple of years
then i got contacts. i wore them prob 2/3 of the time for a few months, but they were a pain in the ass so i quit wearing them
the USMC told me they'd switch me from navigator/weapons system officer to pilot if i got my eyes fixed with PRK surgery
i did. hurt like the devil, but it worked. they were just bullshitting about the whole pilot thing, though. 12/9/2005 2:51:39 AM |
