Couldnt find a better thread to put this in but I was in the Vaughn towers today to pick out Red Zone seats for my buddy and the guy told me that the bleacher seats will be all students. the band is moving back to south endzone, likely in the corner next to section 8. thought some of you students would like to know.

the semi-permanent bleacher seats at the top of the bowl?

I bet they wont allow pictures b/c they don't want anyone to see the cages they are putting in for the pack of live wolves!

^^^ does that mean we no longer get section 7 and 8 or that we are gonna have more seats?

what i propose they do is move the new concessions and bathrooms out more and make the optional bleachers above the bowl wrap more around the lower bowl. not completely, but at least to the mid-point of the corners. they could easily incorporate the new bathrooms into the new gate area, much like the way the bathrooms on the east and west sides are.

i don't think they mean the semi-permanent ones. from what I understood yesterday when picking out my seats is that the area right around the field level is for students and band. the red seats are LTR's and then they can put in the bleachers on an as needed basis or if ticket sales skyrocket. They were making good progress on it as they were puttin up the large tower crane, I guess that means concrete is getting ready to be poured!

^ Thanks. Does anyone know what that thing is that they've started on? Perhaps one of the walls to the lockerooms?

It was good to see that huge crane out there.

The locker room is the only thing I can figure. Then use all that dirt to pile in around before they put concrete on it. But then again, I'm an engineering dropout and know nothing

its tough to tell without having been out there; the wooden wall-looking thing you see is most likely concrete formwork. it looks like they've got all the sitework/grading/soil done, so thats a good sign. i've never learned about/been involved in concrete bleacher construction though, so i'm just tryin to call it as i see it
