I don't think anyone would argue that Coldplay is the most technical band,but the general consensus is that they are just an enjoyable,solid band. So they sound like U2 here and there,who gives a shit?
I like bands like Coldplay,just as I like tech bands.
Hating a band because they are popular is just as stupid as liking one because they are.
Go by what you enjoy,fuck everyone else.

i wasn't a big coldplay fan, i used to like a couple of their songs, but when i saw them live, i completely changed my opinion of them.
they are an extremely talented band and sound incredible livei. i've been to anywhere from 30-50 shows and their show was easily in my top 3 favorites. i would say they're probably going to be the biggest band of this generation.

coldplay, not that great
not that bad either

enjoyable if you like the sound which is totally understandable
by no means do they break any grounds
by no means do they compare to radiohead

yes they are overrated
