i'd love to jump into that student section and start swinging.
it'd be just so much fun. like that scene in alien vs. predator where predator's just going buckwild at the top of that pyramid.
buck fucking wild. 1/19/2006 7:37:24 AM |

you have only been to one game at reynolds, of course it didnt compare if you had been in school in when we played all of our games there you would have a diff. opinion.
i have only been to been to one game at cameron and in my experience it didnt even come close to the atmosphere at reynolds...
but only going to one game, you cant get a good comparison IMO1/19/2006 8:33:47 AM |

The day I give Duke students credit for being good fans is the day I spot one of them in Wallace Wade.

Man those games were awesome. The whole stadium would actually shake.
Do people realize that if fans got organized and didn't hate all the time, RBC could actually be a really tough place to play all the time.

shit, the kids who sit behind the benches, can't remember the name of their club, they can't even get organized
if the kids who are supposed to be the life blood of the student cheering section can't even do shit, it's asking a lot for the other thousand students to do shit

well I've only been to one game at both... and at the time I wasnt a HUGE state fan or anything, so i probably wasnt as interested at the time and didnt realize the intensity (my brother went to school here years before I did, and I went with the fam) so i'm sure you all could be totally right.
I just thought that was an awesome experience, with it being my first time at Duke. I really liked that intensity of it all, though I had no idea how the boys could make free throw shots with as loud as they were,... I could hardly concentrate on watching them j/k.
and the fans were excellent. no one was rude at all, if anything they all seemed to be ammused at how much I was enjoying the atmosphere.
I def plan on going to the carolina/duke game there!1/19/2006 11:23:48 AM |

that's not very nice. and I try not to ever comment on his games, but I do have to say... he had more points than three of our starters. and if you were at the game you (may have) noticed he got hit in the face and you may have seen the mark under his eye.
but trust me, I want us to win. and if andrew is having an off-night, then yes, I want someone in there who is doing better.
besides, saturday he'll have an AMAZING game and you'll all talk a/b how great he is. ...as with Tony

ps
am i the only person who thinks cameron indoor stinks, like has a truly palpable odor that just kinda hovers in the atmosphere?
its not as bad in the outer ring, where the concessions and stuff is, but as soon as you walk into the basketball section
i was there last year for the MSU game that was an amazing experience to say the least1/19/2006 12:07:07 PM |

I've been lucky enough to see 2 games there, one of which was NCSU. State got spanked by 20 IIRC, but I was just happy to be there. 1/19/2006 1:16:00 PM |

but now i see them for what they are. just a bunch of arrogant douchebags that dont know shit about basketball... bunch of pussies that whine when they dont get their way.

I was at Cameron last night, and pretty disappointed in the chants...nothing seemed original, just really loud.
One thing that stood out was when Ced was shooting free throws about mid-way through the 2nd half. Out of nowhere they started counting down like the shot clock was about to expire, and sped up in unison. It seemed like it rushed Ced, and he missed pretty bad.
Oh, and the surfing thing they do with the mascot, where about 20 of them roll on the court floor under the surf board and make him surf, was classic. 1/19/2006 7:12:08 PM |
