there are rumours over here in Europe that Barca are interested in trading him for Henry and/or selling him off........... I don't think it would happen (and i don;t want Henry to leave) but it would be nice.
BTW........... it won't take Arsenal long to revamp the team. They are having issues this season in the PShip but the new stadium and money soon to be invested should help out matters. And correct me if I'm wrong but Man U bowed out very early in the Champions league ;o)
Arsenal just about swept everyone in the opening rounds. 2/12/2006 11:10:22 AM |

^ That still doesn't make any sense.
I've never seen any two teams just do a flat-out "trade" of two high profile players like that in european football.
If Barca has the money for Henry (which I'm sure they do), they'll just offer to buy him, and if Arsenal wanted Eto'o (I cant see why they would, given that he's not an EPL style player), they'd just offer to purchase HIM. 2/12/2006 3:54:13 PM |

A song I heard this past week. The sad part is someone thought this up and recorded it in a studio. The singer sounds like Mariah Carey.
See, I will… always love the Reds so much, We are the team nobody else can touch… United, I love them. They’re the only team I like, The other ones are s***, And now I’m gonna tell you how I feel. F*** Peter Kenyon and Abramovich, F*** you Mourinho, you son of a b****. F*** Kevin Keegan and f*** Franny Lee, F*** Steve McManaman, f*** Man City. F*** Leeds United, you’re down and you’re gay, F*** Norman Hunter and f*** Eddie Gray. F*** Everton and f*** you Liverpool, F*** all you scousers, cuz Manchester rule! Ronaldo, van Nistelrooy Play for the baddest team, With Ferdinand and super Roy Keane… Silvestre and Ryan Giggs, And we’ll never leave the pack Dressed in red, white and black… We don’t give a damn about no one else… F*** Peter Kenyon and Abramovich, F*** you Mourinho, you son of a b****. F*** Kevin Keegan and f*** Franny Lee, F*** Steve McManaman, f*** Man City. F*** Arsene Wenger and f*** Arsenal too, F*** all the cockneys, we f***ing hate you. F*** Everton and f*** you Liverpool, F*** all you scousers, cuz Manchester rule! Rule, rule United… (4x) Now I hate the scousers and I hate Liverpool, The f***ing s***, and United rule! Like I said, I don't beleive it either. It's just a rumor that has been going on over here in England for the last week or so. I think Arsenal fans are just weary that Henry hasn;t signed a fresh deal (at leat I dont think he has)............ even though he said he doesn't want to play anywhere else.
As for Eto'o, I'm not really sure what you mean by not an EPL player. I've watched Barca play MANY games this season (as well as the african cup) and he looks like he could fit in quite well with many EPL teams.
BTW, I really don't mind Man U as much as most Footie Fans do over her........ I Just wish United would get rid of Ronaldo. He played well over the weekend, but that guy is one seriously whiny (sp) pussy.

I don't mean that Eto'o isn't a good player, I just mean that his style of play is very different from the EPL style. If you've ever sat and watched the different euro leagues, they all play very different style from country to country, with English football probably being the roughest of them all. I think it would be difficult for him to adapt to the physical style of play, and wouldn't benefit Arsenal in the slightest. On the other hand, if you sent Henry to Barca, he'd probably win La Liga's Golden Boot in his first year and score some insane number of goals.
And as far as Ronaldo goes.....
He's a great player - when he fucking plays. I think Cantona said it best last week when he told the press that Ronaldo could be scoring 15-20 goals a season, easy. He creates on the wing, which is what a winger is supposed to do, but sometimes he beats himself by trying to showboat instead of just BURNING his defender with his speed. 2/13/2006 5:49:05 PM |

The mid-field is fucking sick. (I mean damn.....Becks, Gerrard, Lampard, J. Cole, Wright-Phillips) Hands down the best in the world.
If the D can pull it together (hoping Ashley and Sol will get some real PT before June) England is gonna go far in the World Cup.
As for Ronaldo Kilj................. the fact he is ripped is the exact reason why that pussy should be staying on his feet more often. Dude hits the floor more than Glass Joe............

I certainly know where you are coming from Kilj, but its sad we almost all feel that way these days.
I absolutely love footy, and although I don't want to sound like one of those old men who harp about the past, the game has gotten out of hand with all the flopping and sissy bullshit. I can think of no other game in which a player can barely get touched by the opposition, fall to the ground in feigned agony, and yet not be considered emasculating oneself (at least to the degree it happens in soccer). I can't fathom players from the 60's and 70's doing shit like that.
And fights........ jesus christ the 'fights'......... I realize no one wants a red card, but if you are gonna sit there and push and shove, spit and bitch, at least have the balls to really swing at someone. Otherwise just suck it up and get on with the game (I generally loved Keano for that very reason).......
Refs need to start handing out more red cards, and players need to start demonstrating a bit more sportmanship and integrity.........
Maybe then people will stop viewing the game (particularly in the States) as pretty-boy B.S.
Alright, I think my rant is done.

There's a famous Italian referee that retired recently named Collina (distinctive bald head). He said that to fix the problem FIFA needs to tell referees to give out red cards for obvious diving. 3/3/2006 7:01:27 AM |
