spookyjon just presented a great example of what I'm talking about. Why not suspend spookyjon? Why not conifine his arbitrary and senseless name-calling to one thread? His last post indicated to me that he may be a less valuable poster than salisburyboy.

The reason salisbury is being confined to one thread is that he contaminates other threads with wild tangents. People try to have intelligent conversation in these threads and then we have to discusss the illuminati because salisburyboy spews his shit and destroys everything.

The reasons I am different than salisburyboy are as follows:

1) I don't make a habit of double-posting.
2) I don't bttt long-dead threads that everyone wants to ignore.
3) I respond to the large majority of arguments made against me.
4) I word my own arguments and do not make a habit of copy/pasting those of others.
5) I do not intentionally hijack threads.

As a matter of fact, I hardly ever make threads at all, and they are about disparate subjects (again differentiating me from the one-note salisburyboy).

1. I voted for Bush in 2000, and with the information available about both Bush and Gore at that time, I would do the same thing again in a hot second.

I voted for Badnarik in 2004. Not because I had any hope or even desire for him to be elected, but because I was (and am) VERY displeased with the direction the GOP has taken (but no less displeased with the Democratic Party).

That's all just for the record and totally beside the point, because it has no impact on my moderation decisions. If I was simply going by my political inclinations and desires, there would be no salisburyboy resurrection, I assure you.

and if GrumpyGOP fell of the wagon, I'd can him. I promise you. So far, that hasn't happened, and I don't foresee it.
