It wasn't a rumor then either.

A lot of the Wake wackos are pissed that he can't coach defense, and want him gone. So it's sort of mutual.

Skip has a good shooting guard in Gray and a load down low with Williams but he has no point guard. Hale and whoever else blows at running the team so of course they are going to suck. They have a walk-on, Mike Drum, playing. I don't see why Wake would push Skip out or why Skip would leave the ACC.

At Depaul now-- beat Wake in Winston-Salem earlier in the season.

i think its rather obvious that skip can thank chris paul for his extension. all those students surrounding his office when pitt came calling should've spent their time over at chris's place instead

At least Kentucky and Michigan State have bounced back this season with all their talent. This is fucking shameful. If you have Justin Grey and Eric Williams on your team, you shouldn't have to sweat out a game against fucking ELON, I don't care if your other three starters are a physically disabled JUCO transfer, Sandra Day O'Connor and the banjo player from Deliverance.

Even when they had Duncan, they couldn't get it done. This program might NEVER win an NCAA championship.

Wake's team defensively is no different than last year, terrible. However, their offense has declined due to Paul in the NBA, and that's why they are losing. When Justin Gray is working twice as hard to get good looks, he gets tired, and Eric Wiliams looks like he could care less about losing. Gray went 6-24ish against us, that's not because he's getting worse as a shooter, he's getting worn down and just doens't have enough stamina to run the point and have the touch to shoot the three ball, and teams do not have to respect anyone on the perimeter defensviely except Gray, so Gray gets swamped. Eric Williams is the real key to Wake being horrible. He likely would have been a late second round draft pick after his freshman year, looked pretty good, but has made no improvement, maybe even gotten worse. Mix that in with Ellis getting a foul every minute, and Visser not having a clue, and you got disaster. Their entire potential is in the hands of a 6'2 shooting guard getting swarmed every minute he's in.

dude. 1-5 in the ACC is just horrendous

if I were a Wake fan I'd be depressed and pissed...I don't even think I'd go to the rest of the games for free

And West Virginia alum Bob Huggins emerges from his 1-year exile to return to his alma mater."

Maryland is SOUTH of the Mason-Dixon line.... Face it, Maryland is a southern state. In fact, if Jerry Springer did a show on the states...Maryland would be the midget transvestite that is sleeping with his/her cousin....

Maryland is the scourge (sp?) of the south. It is to the south what New Jersey is to the north. I'm not making these comments in ignorance. I've been to Maryland several times, and each time I came away with this feeling that I had lost time there that I would never get back.... I know two nice people from the entire state, and both moved to NC to stay.

Back to the topic: Wake Forest sucks! I wish they played Appalachian and WCU next. They would get killed by both powerhouses in the Southern Conference.... hahahahhahhahahaha

an entire season of this for Wake fans and they will want him gone b/c they haven't ever gone deep into the tournament with him, even last year, and they are going to start to realize that as long as he is there they will never play defense and never really be that good. If they go something like 2-14 or 3-13 in the ACC this year fans will be calling for his head. They don't have a ton of talent this year but they have way too much to be playing as badly as they are.

Will Cincy want him if Wake continues to suck bigtime?

I could see Wake firing Prosser and Cincy not wanting him - could be a weird situation.

what was the deal when Wake hired him? Was he thought of all that highly like he could be a great ACC coach or was he already thought of as a great coach or what? I don't really remember

VT could give us trouble. I have never seen a player rip the ball out of the oppenent's hands so many times as gorgon has done. They are really good at getting deflections and steals.

Wish we still did that.

-----------

PS this was easy money. The line opened at something crazy like -11.5 wake.

Wake is now gone from awful to flat out pathetic, it is now a fact how much Justin Gray is Wake Forest, not only as a scorer, but as a passer and penetrator, they have nothing without him, his absence killed them. Oh yea, Va. tech was missing two starters, Coleman Collins and Washington, and Eric Williams still had no clue that he needed to be screaming for the ball with young guys running his team on the perimeter, he's flat out worthless who has about as low a basketball IQ as I've seen out of a big man, and its only gotten worse in his career. As soon as he gets the ball the first thing he does is dribble, hello, your 6-10, strong to the basket.

Skokian, the line opened like that because they didn't know Gray was out, moneyline was +400 when I took it.
