RULES OF BETTING

rule #1. never bet on rivalry games (especially the biggest rivalry in sports(arguably ))

us hicks in nc have to watch it on jp. it means you dont get to hear brent musbuger and dick vitale and watch the game on beautiful espn hd. instead you get billy packer and some other old boring guy on raycom jefferson pilot with mike the hog wood on the sideline instead of an espn sideline whore. it also means you get only foodlion geico and wachovia commercials instead of regular ones.

Game wise, Duke-UNC is one of the top rivarlies in sports. Just about every time the teams play, it's come down to the wire and their are tons of great games between the two. And the fact that it's hyped to the max definately helps its case.

However, Pagentry and history wise, its not even the best college rivalry. That would probably be one of the football rivalries that are over 100 years old (Alabama-Aubrun, Army-Navy, OSU-Michigan) while Duke-UNC hasn't been big for that long (a long time yes, but not 100 years)

^^ Its not being broadcast in HD anyhow, most likely because of that blackout...so youre not missing that much. And is Dick Vitale really any better than Billy Packer? At least Packer wont repeat "Oh baby!" and "Diaper dandy!" over and over.

Vitale >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Billy "Fudge" Packer

and I'm not even a Duke or UNC fan

He will also give State some "dap" during the game at some point

i enjoy hearing them both even though i hate packer makes the game more interesting. vitale makes it more exciting even though he is silly and often off-topic. espn just makes it seem more "special" than jp to me. silly announcers like vitale and raftery are my favorites. holy mackeral is probobly my 3rd favorite then the main cbs guy with the storybook voice. i dont think i have ever seen a duke unc game on espn. its nice to have a national pov instead of just an acc pov.

add the fact the the RJ Reynolds camera angles/video quality make the games look like they were filmed in the 80s

I know it has to have been pointed out already but i'm too god damn lazy to read the rest of this thread. It is pretty much impossible for us to finish #1 reg season. Duke beat us, which will break the tie...and the ACC fucked up so we only play them once.

GO DUKE....fuck unc, fuck roy, fuck hansborough, did i say fuck unc

Duke has got to loss like two or three ACC games they should have lost the Va Tech Game, The BC Game, if we had played the last four Mins we could have won and then If Hansborough makes those two free throws then when Frasor hit that jumbe they would have taken the lead. They can't keep winning all the closes ones like this.

My friend's away message:
Quote :
"Memo to Dook fans: come back and talk to me when you've got a 2006 national championship. until then, i don't want to hear it. by the way... you only beat us by 4, i wouldn't be so arrogant.

SO PROUD to be a Tar Heel!! :-)"

and that is what i was saying, not that dule was nasty, but that we are stupid as fuck to think a UNC win would help us. I would rather not sell my soul to the devil of faggots like some of you would, wanting unc to win

^ what a fucking moron your friend is
